"Clean hotel but without hot water in the rooms for bathing, reception was questioned and informed that we should leave the water running and we would have water to take a shower, which after many minutes of wasting water did not happen, inconceivable. At the SPA there was no one to tell us where to change and store our clothes, as well as to provide towels. At breakfast, some foods that should have been hot were cold."

"The most amazing place I have ever spent a vacation on. The owners are incredible, the staff is amazing and very helpful , the place itself is of undescribable beauty filled with nature all around us. It's my second year of hopefully many many more. I always bring my dog on vacations and this is the best place for it. They also have dogs in the compound and my dog could not be happier. If there was a score higher than 5 I would definitely give it to this place."

"Hotel located in a quiet area for some and in the middle of nowhere for others. Paid more than $275 per night for a room with only one bathroom and toilet. Damaged or dilapidated furniture. Garden maintenance is nonexistent: dead leaves accumulate, sun loungers are dirty, and broken furniture lies abandoned — neglect is evident everywhere. "We had a fantastic stay at Villa Epicurea - The staff are very kind and accommodating, and for us it was the perfect combination of informal and luxurious. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main building, with a very comfy bed and beautiful view. Breakfast was wonderful with a large variety and the "Dinner in the Oven" was delicious. We recommend booking far in advance for additional services as they weren't always available, but the cooking class we had was quite fun, and the honor system for getting wine and coffee was very nice. Also the infinity pool and various places to lounge were wonderful. "
