Fabulous six night stay at Hotel Punta Nord Est. Great location next to the sea. Suggest booking a Superior Room with sea view. Room was clean with comfy bed, great shower & mini bar/fridge. Maybe just a lack of storage space. Pool and surrounding terrace was great. Pool bar had a good selection of drinks and food and the main barman (Leo?) was very friendly and made mean cocktails. Breakfast was a great selection of cold meats, cheeses, savouries, cakes and pastries, bread, fruit, etc. All hotel staff very friendly. All in all couldn’t really fault and would highly recommend. The resort of Castellammare del Golfo is also great. An old fishing village with narrow, twisty streets built on a hill. Lots of fabulous restaurants and all very reasonably priced.

We had the best time for my mum's 60th birthday with a great base at Hotel Punta Nord-Est. Check in was seamless even though there were 9 of us and the hotel staff provided loads of information on the local area and how to get about, they booked taxi's and provided us an early breakfast spread as we needed to check out before the standard breakfast times. Breakfast was nice, and we loved sitting under the lemon tree in the courtyard. I usually prefer a hot breakfast but also enjoyed the array of pastries and Sicilian provisions. We had a room with a side view of the sea and mountain initially, but as it was my mum's birthday, the team generously allowed us to move to a full sea view with balcony on the last 2 days which was very appreciated. The rooms are nice, clean and modern, and come with a fridge with drinks (at a cost). The location of this hotel is great, just a short walk to the centre of Castellammare del Golfo where there are loads of restaurants, shops, port etc, we booked a boat trip from the port which was at a very reasonable price and so much fun. I love the small town feel, everyone was so friendly, and word spread of our presence (big characters in the group) and we were very welcomed throughout town. My mum and aunts visited the sister hotel to get a massage and use the spa facilities, they said it was amazing there. I walked to a supermarket 14 mins walk away to get some Sicilian treats for work and friends, but it was uphill half of the way, through narrow secluded lanes and quite an exhausting walk in the heat, but it was great to get some biscuits, pasta , sweets etc at a great price. If I were to plan the trip again I would hire a vehicle to travel around and further afield, for example we wanted to go to Palermo, but the bus times were very limited - only two options per day. All in all, we had an amazing time, it suited various ages and agility within the group. I would visit again! The weather was amazing on each of the 5 days we were there :)

This was the best place we have stayed on our honeymoon in Sicily. The sea view was spectacular from our room and a delight to wake up to each morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and spa and the bed was very comfortable. The best part though was the breakfast included. A superb selection of freshly made local specialities each morning plus all the other items international tourists might want (even special milks and gluten free options). Great job to the lovely ladies who prepare the breakfast. You should be so proud of the lovely experience you provide for guests.

- Good located. 10 Minute-Walk to the city or 15 Minutes to the big beach. There are enough restaurants and shops to reach by foot - Pretty nice pool with poolbar and an jacuzzi - An area with games for the kids (Table-Tennis, Nintendo, Table-Soccer) - It was a bit confusing to get the pool-towels for free as a gift on checkin.

We had a week at this lovely hotel. The Breakfasts were amazing, always being replenished. Happy smiley staff in all the departments. Receptionists were very obliging and helpful. Loved being in the solarium with a view of the sea. Walking distance to the beach, although there is a buggy that will shuttle you there and back at certain times. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk with a vast selection of bars and restaurants, spoilt for choice.

The hotel was amazing for the price - in particular the staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped us book multiple transfers and trips with no bother at all. The surrounding town is beautiful with lots of places to eat and the breakfast at the hotel is delicious. There are lots of great towns and beaches to visit near the hotel which aren’t far by taxi. Would highly recommend this hotel - we had a wonderful time!

We splurged and booked the Suite with Panoramic Terrace for our 1st time in Sicily for 4- nights. Day of arrival, it was raining heavily and there was no one to help us with our luggage. We asked where the restaurant was for dinner, they said they do not serve dinner and recommended a restaurant, a 5 minute drive, which was excellent, but an inconvenience in the heavy rain. Our room looked beautiful, the view was amazing, but then we noticed there was no TV in the separate living area to sit and relax. There was only a TV in the bedroom. That was a disappointment. Breakfast was excellent, a large variety of food. Honestly, there was nothing to do in the area, it looked seedy. The hotel was beautiful, but it was surrounded by old condo's. So we checked out right after breakfast and lost our money for the balance of our stay, which is understandable. If you just want to stay in the hotel and enjoy the view and drive everywhere, then this hotel is for you. If you are like us, and want to walk around and enjoy the area, then no.

excellent hotel. staff very friendly and helpful, both at reception and the pool bar. location is central for the old town and marina and the beach. hotel runs a shuttle to/from the beach. the room was clean and very comfortable, there was a vast selection of food for breakfast, the breakfast room was spotless and airy with pleasant and helpful staff.
