Ulasan Parador de Carmona

Contacted the hotel prior to our stay and there was no reply whatsoever. It was my birthday and there was absolutely no acknowledgment from the reception staff, even when I told them it was my birthday and they were holding my passport in their hands upon check-in. Pool staff was nice but the lounge chairs area were swarmed by tiny black insects, it was not very relaxing sitting by the pool. Restaurant staff was very nice but unfortunately the food was very mediocre. Overall definitely not worth the 40 mins drive from Seville to come stay here, the view from the room balcony was amazing due to the hotel’s location, but I was really disappointed with this birthday stay.

A very nice hotel, with a spectacular view of the surrounding area. We booked one of the top rooms, and other than having two beds pushed together, it was well furnished and comfortable. The terrace had a stunning view to the south. All of the staff, with one exception, was pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was fine for dinner, although there is a lovely, quiet restaurant steps away from this hotel. The breakfast buffet was average, and we chose not to eat breakfast there as the charge was €20.00 per person per day. Way overpriced! If you arrive by car, getting around is easy. However, if you arrive by bus, you are dropped off a good 20 min. uphill hike on stone cobbles. Not the greatest for dragging a suitcase. We were told that there are only 3 taxis in town, and we had to book in advance to get one to return us to the bus.

Super location Very helpful reception staff Dreadful breakfast - staff and food Manageress was unfriendly, brusque and officious. The cooked breakfast was inedible - rubbery scrambled eggs, crisp fried egg - none of it warm, in fact the baked beans were straight out of the tin - unheated!

Excellent experience. Great location, lovely reception staff, beautiful hotel in a location with so many interesting things to see. The town is really easy to get around on foot and the scenery and buildings are stunning. Without a doubt a real gem!

An exceptional Paradore with stunning views, delicious food and drink, attentive staff, all set in a romantic castle with a courtyard and rooms equal to the Alhambra. The swimming pool was great too. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay. We can highly recommend this to others.

A fantastic hotel, everything what you would expect from a Parador. The location, service in all areas, cleanliness, selection of menu all perfect

This is a fabulous hotel with places to sit in and outside . We had a superior room with balcony and views for miles ! My only complaint is that the partitions between the balconies were not sealed so there was a lack of privacy . The pool is very big with lots of sun beds . However it’s quite a walk down ( and back up !) from it ! Whilst there is a disabled chair into the pool , it would appear to be inaccesible to the disabled .Very pleasant staff and overall a lovely week’s stay and spending time exploring the very nice town of Carmona. We also drove to Aracena to visit the caves that were shown on Michael Portillos programme of Andalucía … well worth visiting !

Paradores historical buildings like this are wonderful. The reception and bar staff at this one were particularly helpful. Restaurant staff a little slower (but much better than at Ronda).

We enjoyed our stay, at the bar with this incredible view , in the patio, at the pool and had a great diner at the restaurant
