Not too far from the city. Very clean and comfortable. So many restaurants and stores nearby so it was convenient.

Very nice room, balcony a nice addition. Great location for experience amazing dining options. Also a great cinema on the street. Short 10 to 15 minute walk to nearest tram to CBD. Shower .. hot water took ages .. and water leaked on floor a lot.

The hotel is near the CBD, convenient to travel, there are restaurants nearby. I like that there is a kitchen for cooking.

Decent place not far from the center, mind you that a parking is at the back of the building so you’ll have to drive through a narrow road. It’s $30 per night. The room had nice amenities good for cooking too. Overall satisfied.

Love staying there, staff so friendly, close to everything. Public transport close by. If im in Melbourne I always head to Lygon Lodge.

It was a great experience! The place was well-organized and clean. The location is with fantastic view, the balcony is viewing beautiful scenery. We love it a lot.

I had a reasonable stay at Carlton Lygon Lodge. The biggest positive is the location, which is very hard to beat. Right on Lygon Street (but at the, somewhat, quieter end) and just a 10-min walk to Brunswick/Fitzroy. The accommodation itself is okay, but could definitely be better. The room smelt quite a lot, for one. The decor is also pretty dated. And it was noisy late into weekend nights due to passing traffic (so I needed to wear my noise-cancelling headphones to get to sleep). The price is quite reasonable though and the staff are friendly and helpful, so this place could be a good option if you want a great location, plan to be out most of the time, and want to save on costs.

An inexpensive hotel in a great location. Walked to a show in the city and easy walk there and back. Free parking in a safe area, locked securely was appreciated. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Thought it would be noisy but wasn't. Would stay again.

Wonderful hotel

I booked a family suite but was given a room with two double beds. I didn't fight for the space when I saw it. Unexpectedly, the facilities of this room type are extremely poor. The toilet door cannot be closed and the toilet board is not the right size and is too small. Water will gush out of the shower room. The heating was not enough. We had to ask several times before a heater was provided. We kept pushing back when we asked to change rooms. On the third day, half of the showers had no hot water. It was impossible to live there. I couldn't bear it anymore and had to argue before making arrangements on the fourth day. Change to a normal suite.

It's really terrible. The service attitude is average, the price is expensive and the room is totally not in line with the price. This price is the same as other big hotels (W Hotel and Grand Hyatt), it's really not clear, it's like a motel. And the exhaust in the bathroom is broken, half of it is about to fall off. Asked the hotel manager to fix it, they didn't do anything.

The room is not big, but the facilities are complete. They are all Chinese, so the language is convenient, and it is also very convenient to travel. There is cleaning every day, just like domestic hotels. I will stay here again next time I come.
