This was my second stay at The Walden House and it was just as fantastic as I remembered. Amy and her team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The beautifully decorated rooms and secure parking made for a worry-free stay and the breakfast was a highlight – delicious and perfectly presented. Located in a safe neighborhood, it’s just a short walk to Kloof Street with plenty of great restaurants nearby. The peaceful garden and the view of Table Mountain added a charming touch to our visit. I highly recommend The Walden House for its comfort, outstanding service and perfect location. We’ll definitely return! 🌟

Beware! Rude and unkind people. After booking a non refundable rate for 4 adults, our travel companion discovered he had cancer, would be undergoing extensive chemotherapy and we had to cancel our long awaited trip. We are all absolutely devastated with the news. I spoke with the booking site who were gracious and immediately offered an exception provided the hotel agreed. Not only did the hotel not agree to any kind of refund, they all also sent me an incredibly rude and uncalled for message. They still had 2 months to rebook the rooms and yet could not even give one ounce of courtesy. I am incredibly disappointed in such lack of compassion or understanding. I will NEVER stay here or recommend them to anyone. I hope they sleep well at night with our money in their pockets.

We stayed at the Walden House for 5 nights, a lovely guest house well located,close to Kloofstreet and its delicious restaurants. We had the beautiful and very spacious honeymoon suite. We were particularly impressed by Amy, she was a wonderful hostess who always tried to accommodate us. She gave us a packed breakfast when we left early for an excursion and came back in the evening to give us back our luggage on the last day. I will definitely visit them again!

Good spacious rooms and bathroom, comfortable bed. Just big enough desk to work at. Nice view if you looked hard enough! Toiletries not great, expensive mini bar. Lots of keys needed to unlock and lock again front door, room door, balcony door. Pool and pool area out of action.

Just a lovely boutique hotel, well located, with amazingly lovely and caring staff. We had a beautiful suite facing Table Mountain and woke up to a beautiful sunrise every morning followed by a healthy yet delicious breakfast. We would love to visit again. If you are visiting Cape Town, please do not hesitate to make this your home away from home!

We (family of 4) stayed at Walden House for 6 nights. It’s centrally located, a short drive from the V&A Waterfront, and close to some excellent restaurants. Our rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfasts great. But by far the greatest thing about the Walden House is the warmth of welcome from Amy and Kirsten. They went out of their way to help us - providing food and coffee when we left early for day trips, booking an airport transfer and arranging a guide for Table Mountain. Amy also helped us enormously with a difficult situation that we found ourselves in, and we cannot thank her enough. We highly recommend the Walden House.

A well run and very hospitable small inn. The staff was very helpful, personable and accommodating. Walden House is well-situated, with restaurants nearby, and across the street from a small park. The English breakfast provided for our stay was absolutely delicious. Our thanks to the staff. We highly recommend Walden House.
