One&Only Cape Town

This hotel was absolutely beautiful but definitely a bit overpriced. The rooms are beautiful and spacious but we were a little disappointed with the housekeeping as there was bird poop on our balcony floor and even after telling them to clean it they didn’t. For the price we definitely expected more. The location is perfect for shopping and the aquarium. Breakfast and room service food were all very good.

Okay. So I travel a lot. I have stayed at quite good hotels to give an honest review. This hotel is nothing I have ever experienced The service at this place is out of this world. When I say you won’t lift a finger I mean it in the literal sense of it. From check in to check out. There are a million pple waiting to just assist you with ANYTHING. It was our anniversary and my husband wanted to impress me so he booked the island room. My goodness!!! The space, the luxury, the deco, the design, the shower, that huge bath tub , the views from the balcony. This place is breathtaking The breakfast!!! They had me at champagne and oysters for breakfast. It’s a buffet of anything luxurious you can think of. I was having mimosas and caviar at 8 am on a buffet spread !!! Listen I travel a lot, I have been around but this was luxury on another level. Oh my the gym. If that gym doesn’t motivate you to work out. I don’t know what will I want to go back

Decided to go there for lunch- the lobby area has a nice restaurant where they also serve high tea. The sandwich was okay , fries were soggy. But the place is beautiful. It’s a nice spot for a drink with a view. When high tea is served there is also a pianist.

We were with a group of 5 couples visiting Cape Town. From the moment we walked in, the detail to first class service was felt by all of us! We stayed in the main lodge. The rooms were modern with beautiful decor. We had a large balcony that looked up to Table Mountain. I would love to see the rooms on the "island!" There is a canal that winds through the property where you can see paddleboarders, kayakers, and shuttle boats. The pool looks like a lake with beautiful landscaping, and it sounds and looks like a bird refuge. The service is some of the best we have ever encountered in our travels. Everyone, without exception, acknowledges you with their signature welcome sign of placing their hands over their heart and saying hello The service was also very responsive to any requests. We didn't have a chance to eat at Nobu, the restaurant by the lobby, but we thoroughly enjoyed having cocktails and dinner in their lobby where live music entertained us. O My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary on the trip. One of the Guest Hosts, Lungi Mothibi, heard us mention it, and she surprised us with champagne and a cake that said Happy Anniversary on it that evening!

I had the worst customer experience with AVIWE MOSALA, the Reservations Manager. Her arrogance and unwillingness to address the reservations issue were unacceptable. Thanks to Yazeed and his team for their efforts, but I will not be returning or using this brand again!

Excellent stay at the One & Only Capetown. The room was AMAZING and I would look forward to the evening amenities every night. The food was also outstanding we had breakfast and also dinner there. The property itself is beautiful and it is very centrally located. I felt safe. Finally the service was also excellent. One & Only knows how to treat their guests.

We just spent 4 nights at The One&Only and we didn’t want to leave. We’ve stayed at nice hotels before but this one far exceeded our expectations. The facility and rooms are what you would expect for a 5-star but the service was far above anything we’ve had in a hotel. The staff were genuinely engaged with all the guests, we were greeted with a smile from everyone and they all made sure we were happy and not in need of anything. We showed up for breakfast 20 minutes before they opened (without realizing it) and nothing was said except “we are sorry for not being ready” ! We are the ones that should be apologizing. The breakfast was spectacular, there wasn’t anything that was not available and my poached eggs were cooked perfectly every day. The rooms were large and comfortable, after we figured out how to work all of the lights! The bartenders, specifically Alton and his co-worker, (we didn’t get the young man’s name but he made a great whiskey sour!) took care of us each evening while we had drinks at the bar - wonderful service! The location is great, Table Mountain as a back drop and right near the waterfront, we also walked to the Bo Kaap neighborhood. A great place to stay, highly recommend.

The spa is an amazing experience But the cherry on top was the whole staff and especially Elton the bartender. He makes the best Old fashion in all of S.A because of his experience. I definitely recommend this place because of safety, Professionalism, and friendliness. The food is amazing, the chef takes you through a journey of herbs and spices that will keep you wanting for more. The steak and lamb are 100 percent worth it.

I was greeted by the sound of the piano and friendly faces, direct to my seat, with a view of Table Mountain and the water. The server Ashley made us feel at home and catered to us perfectly. His recommendations were much to my liking and his kind manner very much welcomed. We are definitely to return for more of such great service. Well done!
