Located 2km on main road from ferry terminal, clean & modern, some language difficulties at Reception, cozy rooms & satisfactory bed. Few TV channels, no English language TV channels. Uncomfortable HVAC centrally controlled at 22C day & night. Few good breakfast food choices but lots of pastry selections.

Yurdakul Hotel, Canakkale The reception was small and crowded when our group arrived. The rooms were very small and not enough space for our suitcases to open. The washroom/ Toilet was small and no place to hang anything including towels. Bed was good. The kettle for hot water was small and not very effective for hot water. The staff were very good and helpful. Not in a convenient location or close to the city centre. The meal (dinner) at the restaurant was below average. No variety, just dry chicken, rice, few fries, soup and not very fresh salad. The breakfast was OK. There was no prepared coffee, we had to use the packets with hot water to make our Own coffee. Overall not a 3 Star for Turkey. Overall, I would rate this a 2.5 star hotel.

This is a moderate hotel, relatively new and well maintained. It is located at the side of the main thoroughfare, but not too close to the city centre and the port. The hotel is relative cozy but well maintained; the room is standard sized and comfortably furnished for a good night sleep.

Exterior of hotel didn't impress upon arrival and neither did the lobby area. Only one young man available to help with luggage and an older gentleman who appeared to be the manager to check everyone in. The guest room was a pleasant surprise and far surpassed initial impressions, being large , newly decorated with a modern bathroom and rainfall shower. Both wifi and air conditioning worked well. Dinner was included in our package but seemed rather amateur. No choice for starter, a bowl of soup was simply brought out and served, followed by a choice of chicken and another dish, finished of with dessert which again was just served with no option. The restaurant only had the young guy who was acting as bellboy upon to carry out waiter duties and didn't offer drinks despite a bar area being just a few metres away. We did eventually manage to get a beer, but couldn't be bothered a second attempt. I think the hotel is missing out on an earning opportunity and could sell plenty of soft drinks and/or alcohol should they bring in another staff member to man the bar and offer drinks to the guests . Breakfast buffet was very limited.

No comforter in the room. Only thin blanket. Air condition didn’t work in many rooms - found that out as we were part of the group. Very small room and small bathroom. No swimming pool. No bell boy service No lights in the hallways 10-15 mins taxi ride (70 lira) from the city center / sea side / Trojan horse Staff was nice and the vegetarian food was ok although there were very limited options Breakfast average Wi-Fi is very poor. They turned off Wifi since last night and it’s not on yet Front desk people don’t speak English at all , except one - so, good luck getting any response when you talk to them Don’t waste your money at this hotel It’s not a franchise hotel so there are no minimum quality standards here

We stayed here for just one night. Excellent clean boutique hotel. Great service and the rooms are updated and nice. The enjoyed the on- site dinner that was provided. The bellman assisted us with our luggage. Only negative was that we couldn’t get any English channels on the TV.

The hotel itself initially appears quite smart but is in a very scruffy area. The room appeared very nice but was poorly serviced, with missing coffee, cups, spare toilet roll, and glasses - reception staff were very helpful in replacing them but they should all have been there already. The shower room is small but functional. We were in a tour group and unlike all the other hotels which offered an extensive dinner buffet, we were given a no choice set menu which was just plonked in front of us cafeteria style, and wasn’t great. The bar service was extremely limited. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. The worst thing was an intermittent noise in our room (101, yes really) which kept us awake. It turned out to be the kitchen elevator which they were perfectly aware of, so it’s really disappointing that they put people in rooms that suffer such noise disruption. The hotel seems poorly managed with no real concept of international guest expectations.

This feels slightly unfinished and some of its faults need snagging. They could do better on service - our room had one cup, no glass, one stick of Kenco coffee and half a roll of loo paper left. Also, we had set menu at dinner where it was all plonked in front of us with little explanation of what it was. Breakfast buffet was good, just not as generous a spread as other similar hotels. Just don’t stay in Room 101. You’ll be kept awake by the food elevator!

Good service, if a bit quick to remove dishes at dinner! Main course arrived when we were still having our soup and dessert arrived when we were still eating our main course. Only a set menu was available and we weren’t offered any drinks with our meal (apart from water). Breakfast buffet was poor. On the positive side, staff were friendly and helpful.
