THB Gran Bahia Hotel and Apartments

The restaurant at the hotel by the pool has a lovely raised outside terrace overlooking the Bay of Alcudia and the Mediterranean Ocean. The view is great but the food is even better. Truly the Club Sandwiches they do are out of this world and the best of anywhere I have ever been. We drive for 20 minutes to come here and are never disappointed. The waiters are all lovely too and make the whole experience a delight. 10 Stars for amazing food! WONDERFUL

From the moment we arrived we were pleased with how clean the hotel looked. It was absolutely spotless and even smelt clean. The domestic staff clearly work hard. Very easy check in and friendly staff. We were staying in a one bed apartment across the road. Literally across footpath. Again lovely clean reception area and plenty of places to sit and relax. Room was modern and spotless. Two balconies with an egg hanging chair on one. Our room faced the pool and sea with a nice breeze. Bathroom had two sinks and massive shower. Sofa bed also which we didn't need as we had a cot for the baby. We were self catering but intended on eating out. There would be enough to make a light meal or small dinner. Wasn't an issue for us. Room cleaned every day and to a high standard. Obviously the season was winding down so very quiet in hotel. The only downside and it wouldn't put me off returning was the pool. Quite small and def not enough beds in peak season. Fine at this time of year. With the beach right there it wouldn't matter too much. Brilliant location and plenty of shops and restaurants on doorstep. We would definitely come back again.

Absolutely lived it here! Glad we had booked this, so much around the area, shops, beach, dinner options etc. The breakfadt buffet was just brilliant. Recommended to definitely stay here if your on this side of Picafort. The baby cot was good quality and big! Had to drop a star due to some stuff not working in the bathroom like the shower head leaking out by the side and the hairdryer but staff helped us with everything :) 5/5!!! We'll be back!

Spend a week in the hotel.Obviously reception staff and check in was just ok’ish but not proper 4* hotel trained staff.The lady was serving me than she interacted by her colleague and they had a chat for few minutes,obviously she didn’t bother about guests is awaiting and we was in the middle of checking in…Definitely not 4 stars hotel experience. Finally got my key and the room number. Obviously room is not massive but enough space for two people considering we spend all day outside on the beach…Room is very clean,housekeeping is taking responsibility for the cleaning. The massive point down is the rudeness of restaurant waiters staff … I do understand hotel was busy because of season and some of them is very tired but why it’s should reflect on the customers…? The lady approached with very unhappy face and asked if I would like any drinks, when I said I’m ok, thank, she just grabbed the empty glasses off the table with no happiness on her face… Obviously I came for holiday to relax not to fight or complain about anything but some of the situation were just ridiculous and very unpleasant . In overall lovely hotel location, beautiful reception and lovely room but staff really need good customer service training… One more thing about food, breakfast was ok but dinner needs a bit more work on the menu…Be ready to pay for any drinks in the dinner time on your half board…no even water dispenser can be used in the restaurant in the evening. I don’t think it’s right… However I hope to be ok and be back next year because of fantastic location…

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel/apartments - truly lovely and definitely worthy of its 4*s… credit where credit is due!! This hotel is stunning - the location is fabulous, slightly closer to the marina than the other end of the beach, but very central to the rest of the resort, close to supermarkets and beach shops. It’s split across a walkway, one side with reception, restaurant and hotel rooms the other side apartments. There is a large bar/lounge area too on the apartment sides - lots of comfortable seating and a pool table. We had a beautiful sea facing room 1 bed apartment - absolutely stunning views across the bay. Rooms are modern, clean and serviced daily which was unexpected for self catering. Fridge, two ring hob, toaster, kettle, equipment for making a light lunch, bacon sarnie or similar!! We made pasta one night, enough space and all equipment was clean and ready to use. Balcony with furniture including a hanging egg chair meant lots of outside dining!! The air con only appears to work when all doors are closed and you are in the room (environmentally friendly I would guess), but is effective when it’s on! Beds are comfy, even the sofa bed, and despite it being a busy area, once the doors to the balcony were closed it’s extremely quiet. We all slept well every night. The staff here are great - we didn’t eat in the restaurant, but used the pool cafe, which was fabulous - good portions - the club sandwich is really yummy! Reception staff were really helpful and very knowledgable and professional. Can’t fault them. And the cleaning staff - they need a medal!! Room cleaning everyday and spotless, communal areas spotless, pool area cleaned daily, beds wiped off and all the glass and chrome cleaned - wonderfully clean!! If you don’t have a meal package, the shear number of places to eat nearby is a little over whelming (we spent a long time on the first evening trying to decide where to eat) - we found restaurants towards the marina were lovely, bars and cafes more in the other direction up the beach - depends what type of eatery you are after!! We wanted restaurants rather than cocktails so found the marina end worked better for us, The reception will help with recommendations - we loved El Puerto up towards the marina next to a small seafront area with a few fairground rides and a daily evening market. The food there was great, and the service was excellent. The beach directly in front of the hotel is lovely, and a bonus - sea is warm too!! There are a couple of things to mention (not necessarily negatives) but feel warrants a note. If you want a pool holiday, this might not be for you. The sunbeds are very limited for a lot of rooms and the pool is really a plunge pool - it’s deep but does have a shallower kids area. It is our 2nd time in Can Picafort, we had walked past this hotel and admired the pool many times on our last visit so we decided to book it for this holiday. We did not realise it wasn't just the white building but the larger hotel next door also that shared the small pool area. As a couple with a nearly 3 year old we was looking forward to days by the pool....unfortunately all the 39 sunbeds (yes only 39 beds for 2 big hotels!) These were all 'reserved' by 7am! Even though the pool did not open until 10am. We didn't get to go around the pool area once in our weeks visit! Some beds were taken early and still no one had sat on them until gone dinner time. Our room was lovely. A 1 bed apartment although the only dividing part was a noisy sliding door that showed light through from the kitchen/living room area. We had paid extra for a front sea view but one of our balconies was definitely a side view and this was the one with the chairs and table. The reception/bar area was dead every day and night. Looked closed most the time. Overall, not somewhere we would book again. No atmosphere, nothing for kids, pool was non existent to us! Recommend drinks at Jamaican Bar, JS Miramar Hotel.... Recommend food at Dakota, Jamaican Bar and El Gaucho. Definitely highly recommend Can Picafort but we definitely won't be back to this hotel.

We stayed in July 2022 for one week. Hotel is great located right near to the beach and in the middle of the resort. Staff is really helpfull & friendly. Hotel is really clean. Our apartment with sea view was fully equipted and modern. Food was ok as well.

An ideal location on beach and walking distance to everything Had a one bedroom apartment sea view, decor was good, well appointed and really clean with two balconys. Great hotel, all staff really nice and helpful especially in Resturant bar

I've given 3 because I didn't think it deserved 4 but I would have gone 3.5. It is marketed as a 4 star hotel but it felt more 3 star. The rooms are quite small, there is no comfy chair in the room (no space) and in the shower is a jar of gel rather than individual toiletries. Storage space was limited. We paid extra for half board because I saw there was an a la carte restaurant and thought we could use it but no, only the main buffet restaurant. Obviously, a buffet can be hit and miss depending on how soon you arrive after the buffet has been refreshed but happily there was a hot plate section where staff would freshly cook various fish, meat and other options. I used that every night. In the morning it was an egg station where you could get fried eggs or omelettes. I was disappointed at breakfast to see no grapefruit juice until I saw slices of fresh grapefruit on the buffet. Our aircon was not working when we arrived. The chap on reception couldn't do anything about that but he gave us a fan. I was impressed that it was fixed by the time we returned from breakfast. Great location.
