Ulasan Hotel Porta do Sol Conference & Spa

We have stayed a few times at the Porta do sol. Great staff, great breakfast, fab spa and swimming pools. Really enjoyed our stays. We will be going again later in the year. Overall Fabulous.

Bom hotel!

A localização é boa. O atendimento na recepção fica a desejar, lenta, nao muito simpaticos. Ficamos na suite premium, quarto 120. Para um casal colocaram apenas uma garrafa de agua, fomos á rececao pedir e a recepção mandou-nos pedir no restaurante, no restaurante nao nos deram agua para o quarto. Conclusao, tivemos que ir ao bar e gastar 4€ em duas garrafas de agua pequenas. Fica um bicado a desejar reservar um quarto de 240euros a noite e nem sequer colocarem água. O spa, entramos as 4:30 mas as 5 da tarde fomos convidados a sair, apenas surreal!!!! Pequeno almoco sem grande variedade! O quarto estava limpo mas nem sempre havia agua quente para tomar banho. Conclusao, primeira vez que venho com a minha esposa chinesa a portugal e a rececao aqui em caminha foi esta. Foi a primeira e ultima vez neste hotel.

Amei a recepção, fizeram meu aniversário se tornar uma experiência inesquecível. Muito obrigada 🥰

Muy buen hotel, con piscina magnifica. Relativamente cerca del centro ciudad, se puede ir andando. Lo que no entiendo es que no se pueda pagar con tarjeta si compras menos de 5€ en el bar del hotel. No te puedes tomar una cerveza sin metalico. Una de las personas que trabajaban alli insistió mucho que no se podia pagar menos de 5€ con tarjeta, tambien fue dificil que me lo cargaran a la habitacion mostrando el dni en recepcion, finalmente y como favor excepcional, me lo cargaron y lo pagué en el checking out. No debería ser tan dificil.😫

Foi uma ótima estadia. Os funcionários do hotel foram sempre atenciosos. A limpeza salta à vista por ser excelente. Os quartos espaçosos com tudo o que é preciso para ter uma estadia. O pequeno almoço é excecional, não falta nada e tem tudo. Fica próximo do centro e também das praias. Vou voltar certamente.

we had a very good experience here. we were 10 Ebikers on the way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. This was the end of a long day. Very pretty location. I don't know why other's had bad experiences. Desk staff was good. They weren't the ritz, but they were helpful. Very helpful explanation how to store our Ebikes. Spa services that 2 of our group used and were very good. Huge pool. We did not avail ourselves of bar or restaurant; we walked into town. Room had a balcony and was very clean and well appointed.

This large resort hotel was located right on the Camino trail. The front desk service was very good. Moreover, their express laundry service washed our clothes in just about three hours after we dropped the clothes off. Our room was a bit small, but had a nice sized balcony with two chairs. The breakfast was good. We were a bit disappointed with the food in the restaurant as we have certainly had better meals along our Portugal journey.

My stay at this hotel went very badly. Scaffolding on the windows, a lot of dust in the room, the elevators were always stopping and one of them stopped during the weekend - and I traveled with my mother who has mobility problems, in fact the hotel had been warned but put her on the third floor . Reception services are very slow. The indoor pool is in poor condition, with the screen completely raised and usage time limited to 50 minutes for each guest - information that is not indicated in advance at the time of booking. The outdoor pool shows many signs of wear and lack of maintenance. The bar service is also very poor - they only had one employee for dozens of customers. More SERIOUS was what they did with the room towels. The hotel, without any prior notice, charged me 54 euros on my credit card, after my stay, for the lack of 3 towels. I explained to them by phone and email that in my room, upon arrival, two towels were missing and in a family member's room the towel had been delivered to reception. Still, the hotel decided to charge without informing or refunding. If you don't want surprises like this, don't stay at this hotel. There's much better nearby.

The hotel is nice, and the rooms are refurbished. The rooms are big, and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is located on a street, so the rooms facing the river have the street in front of them. Also, the rooms facing the pool have a train rail behind the pool and the hedge, so it's very noisy when the train passes, including in the middle of the night. Additionally, there was a constant noise, probably from the pool pumps or spa, which was quite bothersome. The breakfast was quite basic—no variety of eggs, just scrambled and boiled, no beans, no vegetables of any kind. They didn't refill the yogurt or water when it was gone. No fresh juices. Overall, not a four-star breakfast. We also had quite a stench in our room, probably from the sewer pipe or drainage. We informed the personnel, but no one did anything. The carpet in the rooms was worn out and has seen better days. The hotel is located approximately 1.5 km from the town, so we had to walk or order a taxi. Uber or Bolt are not available in Caminha.
