Cambridge is an expensive town. That said, the price of the room did not reflect the amenities or the size of the room. Basically, the bathroom was so small as to be useless, and the bedroom very poorly lit and felt cluttered.
The hotel is on top of a very cozy pub near Jesus Green, and within a comfortable walk to city centre. The room was clean and relatively quiet (the pub/hotel are located at a big intersection with frequent traffic).
It would be ideal if the room price was closer to 100£, rather than 200£…

Cutest room and bathroom with outstanding service. Hannah and Cherece were extremely helpful with communications/customer service and our stay was thoroughly enjoyed. The included full English breakfast was the perfect end to our stay.

Helpful, friend staff. Cosy pub, open fires . Good range of ales. Room could do with some TLC . Toilet roll holder off wall, curtains too short and thin. The bedding was super clean , and comfy . Slight problem with booking, staff super helpful

Stayed at the Waterman on a Friday night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival, room was a good size, comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast in the morning was really good. The whole experience was very laid back and enjoyable. Recommend.

Stayed on our first night in the UK while visiting Cambridge, and The Waterman was a great choice. The location was superb to be able to walk around Cambridge. Our room was very clean, warm and with enough room for all our bags. We stayed on a weeknight so there wasn't any noise. Parking is very limited but that's the UK. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Lovely stay at The Waterman. Although there is a pub downstairs we didn’t make use of it as we had other plans. Warm greeting at check in and given keys to our room. Very comfortable room and very quiet. Breakfast the following morning was great, very friendly chatty and speedy service. We left our bags so we could explore Cambridge and picked them up later. Excellent bus service into the city or a 15 minute walk. A lovely relaxing couple of days in a beautiful historic city made all the more enjoyable by the guys at The Waterman. Highly recommended

Stopped in with a large group to have a bite to eat after work. Friendly service and served quickly which was impressive given the size of the group. A simple menu with tasty food. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the bill at the end was good value.

Lovely stay. Bedroom a decent size and great shower. Hearty breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff (thank you Noah)! No parking at hotel but parked off Milton Road for free - a 5 min walk away. Good walking location (10-15 mins) for town. colleges through lovely parks along Cam.

A pleasant neighbourhood local with food and rooms. The service is indifferent and the beer is average. I had three pints of which one was lacklustre, one was flat and was replaced , and one was ok. The staff seem to be more interested in playing with their laptops.Perhaps they should concentrate on serving a smaller number of real ales in god condition.
