Caleta Dorada

This was meant to be a relaxing 4 day break but what a disaster it was. We booked a sea view room but couldn’t see the sea. All the walls in the rooms was damp and painted over the room looked as if it had been broken into, the food in the restaurant was over cooked and served lukewarm you could not get any drinks round the pools until after 10am Pool ‘A’ had most of the tiles missing in the small pool, sandwiches was left in direct sun so had condensation in the packaging. The jet2 rep was brilliant and came to see the room and said this should have not been occupied and put a block on it but it was too late was going home the following day. No heated pool as states on app and the bar on an evening is run by one bar staff so you are queuing for ya drinks.

Nice basic hotel. Food was decent with plenty to choose from. Good location, supermarket just a couple of minutes away and beach, shops, bars etc just a 5 min walk. My only complaint would be lack of lighting in some areas of the hotel, difficult to see so had to use torch on phone. There is also no security and on 1 occasion folk were in the pool at 1am. While this is no big issue, your on holiday to have fun but when you've had a few too many beers/cocktails then its a huge risk and the fact that it was families did put me on edge and I couldn't sleep until I knew they were all out the pool. Especially the kids. Overall a nice hotel and I would go back

Area nice, food lovely, lots of choice. Background music at pool bar is very samey, same tune playing throughout & boring! Ok for teenagers, no English music, sounds like record has stuck, sort the music out for a better relaxing experience

We have just returned from 10 days at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, plentiful and lots of choice. Breakfast had fresh fruits, cereals, pancakes, pastries, breads, freshly cooked fried eggs, bacon, sausages, Spanish omelette, cheeses, etc. Evening meal there was a choice of 2 soups, salads, daily roast, freshly cooked fish, a stew of some type, paella, vegetable dishes, different types of potatoes, pizzas, pasta dishes, fresh bread, multiple desserts and ice cream. We didn’t go at lunch time but I guess would have been similar. We usually had the toasties, fruits pots and ice cream at the pool bar at lunch. The staff worked so hard, always clearing your plates with a smile. The pool bar staff were always busy but again always had a smile. The rooms were basic but clean. Each bungalow had a sitting room with sofa bed and Smart TV. There was a kettle and small fridge. The beds were very comfy which is unusual for holiday accommodation! There was a safe in the room too. The pool areas were always being cleaned as were the toilet areas. There was nightly entertainment including a kids mini disco, also games in and around the pool and pool bar and the animation staff were very good. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff amazing, main pool area and some paths poorly maintained, horrible smell near main pool bar. Security was definitely an issue, we had two male visitors early one morning / middle of the night, quickly sent away by our son, room location great. Cocktails terrible. Food was absolutely fine, at times very very good. Great value for money.

Lovely location, short walk to the beach which was great. Quick transfer from the airport although that does mean plane noise which didn’t bother us. Just be aware of it if you have young kids that don’t like noise. Nice pools and plenty of sun beds. Staff lovely, especially entertainment and bar staff. However why is the bar under the buffet restaurant not open in the evening? Many people would love to have a drink before going for dinner. The only bar open after 6pm is at the main pool which is some distance from the restaurant. No issue if you’re young but there are a lot of people who would find the walk a bit of a trek. The bungalow was nice, liked the fact that there was a sofa bed in the lounge area so my daughter could have the bedroom and I had the sofa bed. We would be happy to stay here again
