Caleta Dorada

Staff amazing, main pool area and some paths poorly maintained, horrible smell near main pool bar. Security was definitely an issue, we had two male visitors early one morning / middle of the night, quickly sent away by our son, room location great. Cocktails terrible. Food was absolutely fine, at times very very good. Great value for money.

Lovely location, short walk to the beach which was great. Quick transfer from the airport although that does mean plane noise which didn’t bother us. Just be aware of it if you have young kids that don’t like noise. Nice pools and plenty of sun beds. Staff lovely, especially entertainment and bar staff. However why is the bar under the buffet restaurant not open in the evening? Many people would love to have a drink before going for dinner. The only bar open after 6pm is at the main pool which is some distance from the restaurant. No issue if you’re young but there are a lot of people who would find the walk a bit of a trek. The bungalow was nice, liked the fact that there was a sofa bed in the lounge area so my daughter could have the bedroom and I had the sofa bed. We would be happy to stay here again

We arrived home in earlier hours of this morning after 7 nights here and I can say we had a great visit. Very friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. food and drinks were spot on, we were all inclusive aswell, but we still ate out aswell. We were in the A53, very clean and did the job for us, The only thing this was right next to the building works, but it didn't spoil the holiday as we were out all day anyway. I last visited here in 2022 pre refurb and there are vast improvements to this place and I can see even more in the future. Recommended for a nice relaxing cheap and cheerful holiday

We returned just under a week a go from this hotel and it was ok for what we paid. We arrived in the evening. The lighting to the bungalow in block B was not great and you needed to walk back put on the main road to get to it. No helps with the bags offered and wait was long to check in (often stay at 3 star hotels and always offered help especially with kids) Room was basic. Sofa bed had stains on the fabric and also on the sheet. Wasn't comfy but didn't feel good letting my kids stay right near the patio door. Kettle provided but no refreshments at all...not even water in the room (fridge was also quite warm). So the food is ok not much of a choice really. The worst meals are the evening ones so we opted to eat out a couple of times. Bbq at the kids pool was good So the drinks are awful. They are in tiny plastic cups, the "cocktails" are just basically sugar and not enjoyable. But pop on tap and beer so can help yourself once you get used to the beer pump The staff behind the bar are rude (they wouldn't even change money for the "games room") Entertainment is practically non existent during the day, no music playing over the kids pool just next to the bar. Evening entertainment also isn't great. Same music played for the mini disco. Bar promptly shuts at 11pm Kids pool does need some TLC especially the splash park bit but kids did enjoy themselves The hotel is in a really good location for the market and the little town nearby. Feeding the chipmunks at the beach was a highlight. Take plenty of money if you want to swim with the sea lion or do dune buggy as quite expensive. The kids club is free though and the young girl was very sweet that worked there. I know it's only a 3 star but there are plenty of other hotels that are 3 star that offer more. I wouldn't go again but my kids enjoyed themselves which is the main thing.

Booked for a family holiday, stayed in the vip villas. Villa was dated but spotlessly clean and pool was lovely, cleaned 3 times during our stay. Location is great, walking distance to the centre, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Fantastic Indian and Chinese just 2 minutes walk from our villa. All inclusive restaurant was great, breakfast was my personal favourite! Would 100% go there again, my only issue is the Villa is not air conditioned, definitely should be. But a fantastic time with all the family. 10/10

This place is great honestly. Clean foods great staff are friendly work so so hard. Couldn’t believe how much of a good spot we found. Local bars are busy and fun if you fancy night out. Great great place :) read good and bad reviews but was just a great place
