Hotel dekat Al-Gawhara Palace, Cairo

The staff was very kind. The cleanliness and amenities were not great for the price. The dogs were howling at night. The location was about a 15 minute walk to the downtown area where the archaeological museum is located. The breakfast had a wide variety of options.

Приехали раньше времени заселения, нам пошли навстречу и разрешили заселиться и разместить вещи в номере раньше. Я забронировала номер с кроватью кинг-сайз, но нам не было удобно спать на одной кровати. Я спросила, есть ли возможность предоставить нам другую комнату, с двумя отдельными кроватями. Нам показали две комнаты, с одной большой кроватью и двумя отдельными кроватями, и предложили выбрать, в каком номере нам было бы удобнее. Завтрак - шведский стол, очень был вкусных, много зелени, овощей и салатов. В кафе есть выбор различных десертов по доступной цене - мы остались довольны. Но к сожалению, нашлись и минусы: Интернет на этаже не работал, мы сообщили о проблеме, нам пообещали решить вопрос, но по итогу вопрос не был решен. Чтобы подключиться к вай фаю и быть на связи нам пришлось провести весь вечер в фойе. Плюс, телефон в номере для связи с ресепшеном не работал. Мы об этом так же сообщили. Нам сказали, что к нам скоро придет сотрудник и наладит. Мы ждали, но никто так и не пришел. Так же стоит сказать, что кондиционеры работают только в холодном режиме, и согреться можно только под пледом, в комнате очень холодно. Хоть страна теплая и без настоящей зимы - но ночью в марте довольно холодно. Не смотря на все минусы, остались довольны. На выезде нам сказали, что мы забыли некоторые личные вещи в номере. Спасибо большое, что вещь была честно возвращена! На въезде и выезде помогли с чемоданами.

The location is very good, right next to the museum. The staff is very enthusiastic and responsible. The building is under renovation, so the environment is a bit dirty. My experience after traveling in Egypt for half a month is: if you don’t stay in a five-star hotel the whole time, it’s best to bring your own dirty quilt cover, because the hotel doesn’t seem to provide quilts, only blankets. Blankets that haven’t been washed for several months, and so many people have used them... Fortunately, the waiter was quite enthusiastic. After I pointed it out to him, he gave me a clean sheet instead of a blanket.

The hotel is perfect value for money. Right in the heart of Cairo. For the price, you can't complain. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't speak English well, but all requests were met.

The location is perfect, but there is no sign, so it is difficult to find unless you ask people around. However, the worst thing is that the water frequently stops. During my two-night stay, the water stopped 4 to 5 times. Each time, the hotel staff turned on something like a breaker to deal with the situation, but it was a hassle not to go and tell them every time, and I had to be nervous about the water not stopping even when I was taking a shower. Also, it was a little difficult to open the door, partly because I am clumsy. Also, they didn't give me towels unless I asked for them.

I had an acceptable stay at the Montana Hotel in Cairo. The overall experience was average, especially considering the price point. The service was friendly and helpful—staff were polite and responsive, always willing to assist with any requests. The facilities were basic need to keep an eye on cleaning and functionality of WiFi. The room was tidy and had the essentials, though not particularly luxurious. It’s a good choice for travelers looking for a simple place to stay in a convenient location. As for the food, it was average—breakfast with a small variety of local and continental options. It’s probably not the hotel’s highlight, but it does the job if you’re not expecting gourmet meals. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option in Cairo with decent service. Great for short stays or if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city.

Honestly, it's a good place to experience Cairo's local culture. The surrounding area is full of locals strolling and eating at food stalls at night. It's very quiet in the morning, and the balcony breakfast is also very stylish. The museums, the Nile River, Tahrir Square and the subway are all within walking distance. Although the room is a bit old, it's a good experience. Of course, this old building definitely doesn't have an elevator, and you need to carry your luggage yourself, but the room is really big.

The hotel and staff were phenomenal. The reason I took one smile away for facility, was I wanted to get a pedicure and they gave a referral in the mall that was terrible. They should not refer anyone there; it was uncomfortably juvenile in the environment. I ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes listening to workers talk, argue, show pictures on each other's phones. Other than that, it was an incredible experience. Khaled Abdelkhalek with the concierge was outstanding. He was taking care of every need. I booked 2 tours thru 4 Seasons with Marwa, she is on an entirely different universe, so intelligent, kind, intuitive, and I could keep going with praise. If you ever need a tour, she is the one for you!! I also had Mohammed as the driver, between Marwa and Mohommed, they are the dynamic duo. I feel so fortunate and honored to have met and been able to spend time with them. I had several hours to wait for my flight, so I sat in the lobby and had something to eat and drink, they were so accommodating. I do not recall if her name was Daliah or Liza but she was great. Took care of me and was very kind. I travel a lot alone, and it can be tricky sometimes, but the people at the 4 Seasons made it seamless and like home!

If we consider Egyptian standards, this hotel in Cairo is probably one of the best. If we refer to the European standards of 5-star Kempinski hotels, there would be a lot to correct. From the fact that the staff should respects privacy (they just walk into the room, while I were naked going to shower and then leave, without apologizing and laughing loudly), to the fact that there is a glass screen in the shower (same in 3 different rooms) leaking water, floods the bathroom or, say, the security service harassing you at 2 in the morning because of a ”suspicious” item in the suitcase, although the same thing was in the suitcase of the previous two arrivals and no one paid attention (it was a steam iron). In general, the staff is forced to be polite and they are very slow. Just a very kind restaurant receptionist and one nice waiter in Osman restaurant. I believe that this is the maximum that Kempinski manages to achieve in terms of its own standards considering the mentality of Egypt.
