"I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much."

"Location: About a 10-minute walk from the train station, but the whole area felt a bit run-down and deserted. If you're walking late at night, you might want to be careful. Cleanliness: For the price, I think it was acceptable. As a brief layover spot, it served its purpose well. The bathroom facilities were decent too. I honestly didn't find the carpet stains that many reviews mentioned to be a big issue. Room: The 15 square meter room was a little more spacious than I expected. I was able to open both my 28-inch and 20-inch suitcases. Breakfast: Very, very mediocre... However, it's located right off a highway, and the area is quite desolate with no restaurants or cafes nearby. There's an Aldi supermarket about a 10-minute walk away where you can pick up some food. Overall, for a layover stop when traveling by train, I'd say it offers decent value for money."

"Hotel on the outskirts of Budapest in a very remote and isolated neighborhood. The hotel is divided into two buildings several blocks apart. One is like a house converted into rooms, so cramped that there's no space and the ceilings are very low and sloping. One has no reception or anyone there, only someone to serve breakfast. We lost our room keys, which you have to take with you because there's no reception or anywhere to leave them, and they charged us €100—outrageous! Not recommended! A rip-off!"

Lokasinya bagus tetapi masih agak jauh untuk berjalan kaki ke Gereja St. Stephen dan Parlemen, tetapi juga tidak sepadan untuk naik bus atau metro, butuh waktu untuk pergi antara stasiun dan lokasi tujuan, dan hanya 2-3 stasiun, tidak benar-benar menghemat waktu. Menginap 4 malam, petugas kebersihan tidak menyedot debu lantai setiap hari, masih banyak rambut di lantai. Selain itu, kopi dan teh tidak diisi ulang, dan hanya ada satu botol air untuk seluruh masa menginap."

"The view is undeniably stunning (although we had to pay an extra 40 Euros for this room with a view, on top of the regular room rate and taxes). However, the cleanliness was appalling. The carpet was covered in hair. When we returned to the hotel to sleep that night, we discovered the pillows and duvet smelled terrible, like stinky feet. After coming back, I even developed an allergic reaction on my inner thighs, a fungal infection with two ringworm spots! I reported this issue later, but received no response, no refund for the room, and the staff's attitude was very poor!"

"When we arrived, everything seemed fine at first. Check-in was smooth, and we received our key cards without any issues. But the disappointment came quickly once we entered the room. The space was extremely narrow, with three beds crammed in, and there was a large hole in the ceiling panel. The duvets were also visibly dirty, which didn’t help the first impression. We told ourselves, "We're only sleeping here, so let’s just make it work." We tried connecting to the WiFi, but there was no signal in the room. One of us had to go down to reception just to get a basic connection to check if it was even functioning. The minibar didn’t work, and neither did the TV. At that point, we started looking for alternative hotels. Instead, I spoke to reception and requested another room. To their credit, they came up, inspected the situation, and agreed that the room was not acceptable. We were moved to a new room where the fridge and TV worked — but unfortunately, the WiFi was still basically unusable. I was unable to work from the room at all and had to sit in the lobby to get anything done. Breakfast was okay, but not quite what we had expected. Overall, while the staff was helpful and did their best to resolve the issues, the condition of the first room and the lack of basic amenities made this a disappointing stay."

"The group split between the two Karin Hotels, both several blocks away from each other and far from the center of Budapest, an area not recommended at night. My room had a large bed with no room to climb in from either side; you had to climb in from your feet. The temperature couldn't be regulated, so the heat was stifling. The breakfast was terrible: coffee, milk, chorizo, bacon, salty cheese, scrambled eggs, apples, and pears; there was no sweet treats. The first night, one of the beds had a broken box spring, which we immediately reported to reception. To our surprise, when we checked out, they told us they'd keep 100 euros of the deposit for a lost key (which they force you to take with you because the second hotel doesn't have a reception where you can leave it). We remind you that there was also a person who had to sleep one night on the mattress on the floor and they told us that they didn't know anything and that the guy had broken it, something uncertain because we all check the condition of the rooms when we enter (we know that hotels try to keep the deposit as low as possible). A disastrous hotel, with terrible management."
