TTamuFor the price I paid, I expected better. The facilities felt standard and the island itself offered nothing special for me. The facial was just okay, though I did have good experiences with the massage and mud wrap services. Breakfast looked fantastic, but unfortunately the taste didn’t live up to the presentation.
During my trip, I stayed at four different hotels across Budapest. This was the most expensive, yet it’s the one I would rate the lowest.

TTamuThe best hotel in town. Beautiful and quiet. The staff is the best there is. They accommodate any request you have and are great hosts. Got upgraded after our proposal to the suite, That's such a nice thing to do.
All in all a the best experience.

Kamar ganda saya luas, bersih, terang, dan nyaman, layaknya hotel mewah. Satu-satunya yang kurang adalah jembatan mini. Jika Anda membutuhkan kulkas, tersedia dapur, juga bersih dan lengkap (kopi dan teh tersedia).
Sarapan prasmanannya luar biasa.
Saya agak terganggu oleh kebisingan dari restoran di bawah jendela saya sebelum menyadari jendelanya sedikit terbuka; setelah ditutup, tidak ada suara apa pun.

My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice.
Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away.
Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel.
The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.
Overall:
Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.

TTamuHotel is new and very nice. Big surprise was a separate room with Playstation 😜. The hotel’s architecture is quite fascinating. Service was ok except waitress in the bar, the waitress was rude and refused to serve me, even though they weren't closing for another half hour. Then she moodily threw down a beer in a different glass than the one I ordered.

EEllie CheThis hotel's location and facilities are ideal, close to all major attractions. However, our check-in was disappointing. We had booked a double bed, but the blue-haired receptionist assigned us a twin room without notice.
The other staff offered to change rooms, but it required a one-hour wait. Having just arrived from a long-haul flight, we were too exhausted to wait any longer. We therefore reluctantly had to accept the incorrect room.
We hope the blue-haired receptionist can improve her professional diligence to prevent future guests from facing similar issues.
