A good location and friendly staff

Stayed for 3 nights Lovely B&B with fab breakfast with lots of choices. Lovely happy staff happy to help . Lovely room with en suite Stunning views of the harbour Restaurants, bars and shops all very close by. Bust stop and Ferry too. There are stairs to climb as no lift Mrs M

I'll start with the positives, great location, lovely views of the harbour, clean rooms, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. A few negatives and recommendations... a lot of narrow steps to the room and no good for those with mobility issues, so maybe a warning on your website. We're young but the couple next to us had to get moved eventually. Curtains are just for show, please think about blackout curtains. Walls are very thin, could hear people next door until they went to sleep and then I enjoyed listening to their snoring. Finding the car park was an issue and if you have a large car I wouldn't even attempt parking. Maybe include photos of how to get to the parking space? Lastly, breakfast was tasty but the portion was too small and ran out of juice and pastries too quickly.

Lovely friendly guest house with a perfect view of the harbour. We stayed in Room 6 which had a king size bed and en-suite shower room. The room was, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly and provided a nice cooked breakfast as well as pastries, cereal, yogurt and toast.

A fabulous location overlooking the harbour. Our allocated parking was organised well and just a short walk from the B&B. We had room 4 which had the best view and the comfiest bed ever! The hosts were helpful with suggestions of where to eat and breakfast the next day was plentiful. There are some nice little touches like chocolates in your little welcome box and high quality tea in the room.

Lovely quaint b and b overlooking the harbour clean and tidy very welcome feel and lovely breakfast choice with friendly hosts we also visited the pub the Quay which they co own which was also lovely need to be able to do stairs as there are plenty of them !

The location is superb overlooking the harbour. The room was very clean but basic. Breakfast was what you would expect, cereals available, full English cooked and help your self to toast. It was perfectly adequate for our two nights. But there was something missing. It was all very impersonal. On arrival we had to retrieve a door key from the key safe by the front door. But we didn’t have the code so spent some time parked on double yellow lines whilst phoning the owner. Having obtained the code we let ourselves in and were greeted with a box on a table with our name on it. Inside was our room key and some instructions. And that was our welcome to Harbour View guest house. After depositing our cases in our room, I followed the instructions to park the car. Wow! Talk about tight. I have a large estate and I was only just able to squeeze it in. If you are not a confident parker, this is definitely not for you. Breakfast the following morning was fine but it was not at all welcoming. There were people in and out all the time and as the front door opened into the dining room it felt like we were secondary to whatever else was going on that morning. There was no offer of extra coffee or tea, we had to ask. Breakfast the second day was not much better. People constantly in and out the front door, they seemed to be acquaintances of the staff. Tea was served in a tiny pot that barely filled my cup once. Come on, what does it cost to provide a drop more hot water in a larger pot? We left that morning and handed our room key to the member of staff for which we got a thank you. No “hope you enjoyed your stay” or “have a safe journey”. It was an adequate clean room in a good location but lacked any ambience, not what you expect from hospitality venues in this day and age.

Great place to stay. Excellent location overlooking the harbour. Comfy room at the front with wonderful sea view. Fresh cooked breakfast. Friendly staff.

Lovely b&b we didn’t en suite but did have private bathroom literally in touching distance from our room stunning views breakfast was lovely scrambled egg was beautiful we were in room 8 great views but not good for anyone with mobility problems great little b&b
