"I've been to Arethusa before, always having a pleasant stay there. This time it was even better as the hotel was renovated (comparing to my last visit which I don't remember when it was). The big plus of the hotel is its location. You get a stay at the very center of Athens in an excellent cost. Room was nice always clean and shining. Staff was really helpful, polite and very friendly! Breakfast could be improved but considering the overall cost it was quite okay. I'll definitely come again."

"The hotel was really nice and right on the main road close to two metro stations at very walkable distance. They provided me with 7th floor road facing balcony room on request which was perfect for me. The room was clean with a fridge and a smart tv. There was issue with wifi on the first 2 days but they provided with a greek sim for use. The breakfast with a view was plentiful though they exactly close at 10am but you can sit with your stuffs longer and enjoy the food. They even provided all sorts of toiletteries including lotion. For the discounted price I paid, the stay was beyond expectation. The ac in the room worked great. The bed was comfortable. I personally did not face any safety issues coming back to the hotel even at 10.30pm."

TTamuKamar-kamar di hotel ini bagus untuk harganya dan tempat tidur serta bantalnya nyaman. Hotel ini dekat dengan tempat wisata seperti kawasan Acropolis, Plaka, dan Monastiraki dan meskipun demikian, kamar kami cukup sepi. Kamar memiliki TV besar, lemari kecil, stasiun kerja, kulkas mini, stasiun teh/kopi, dan memiliki WiFi yang baik. Pencahayaannya bagus dan tidak terlalu terang dan jendela membiarkan banyak cahaya alami masuk di siang hari. Kami berharap balkon memiliki beberapa kursi di atasnya karena ini adalah area yang bagus tetapi bar atap menutupi kekurangan balkon kamar.
Kamar mandi memiliki tekanan air yang besar dan saya merasa ini adalah salah satu kamar mandi terbaik yang saya alami selama berada di Yunani. Sampo, gel mandi, dan sabun tangan semuanya berbau harum dan memiliki sentuhan garam laut selama kami menginap. Handuknya bersih dan lembut. TTamuThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

SSarah JanesThis place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example).
The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible.
Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log.
Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense.
Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

TTamuWe got the junior suite for our family of 4. The room was quite spacious and the kids loved the jacuzzi bathtub. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. Location was also great with the subway just outside. The view of Athens from the rooftop was also awesome… a great way to end our stay at Athens being able to see all the places we visited. The only issue I had was with the parking. While the hotel has parking, lots are limited and was full when we arrived. I had to find street parking. The first night, I was lucky and found one quite quickly and only about 6mins walk from the hotel. The second night, I took close to an hour to find parking. There was paid 24hr parking across the street but they couldn’t accommodate our larger car. The only other slight problem with our room was that the wind would hit against the door early in the morning when other people where checking out… as ours was a corner unit. It sounded like someone was slamming on our door and it woke me up. Took me awhile to figure out the rapping on the door was caused by the wind and not some prankster.

TTamuFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars
