"As a solo female traveler, I stayed in a mixed-gender dorm and felt completely safe and at ease! The hotel is incredibly clean, and there are bathrooms not only in the rooms but also on each floor. The only downside is that the location feels a bit unsafe at night, making me hesitant to walk alone. I highly recommend Tavern Klimataria (Ταβέρνα Κληματαριά), which is about a 3-minute walk from the hotel – their food is absolutely delicious!"

"Very decent hotel, well located 14 minutes walk from the Syngrou Fix metro station. On the other hand, a little noisy because right on the busy Syngrou boulevard, if you are sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Our room was quite small but functional as was the bathroom. The breakfast is very varied and excellent. A large choice of savory and sweet dishes made from local and homemade products. Staff available and pleasant."

"This hotel is beautiful. Situated on Omonia Square. We were welcomed by friendly staff offering us Prosecco . We also had water and a small bottle of Prosecco in our room. Rooms are small but this is expected in a city hotel. Great rooftop pool. Wonderful breakfast which is served until 12pm and you can have cups to take away coffee. If you book balcony room make sure you book urban balcony room as classic balcony rooms have view of derelict building. The only downside to this hotel is the lifts. There are 2 lifts and they are always full and slow. We were on 6th and ended up walking the stairs most of the time. Metro station is opposite the entrance to the hotel and hop on hop off buses stop opposite the hotel. Lovely square to walk around but I would not walk off the square as a lot of homeless people in the streets."

"I stayed at Phidias( for a second time) from 17-19 March 2025.I have to admit that I had a very pleasant stay. First of all, the location is perfect. You are at the centre of Athens and you can see plenty of the archeological treasure of Greece,just by walk.Also you are just a few metres away from Monastiraki market and many restaurants. Second, the hotel is clean, and the breakfast unexpectedly good.Third, the staff is polite and helpful. I didn’t give 5 stars, just because my room was small. Wi-Fi was ok. I paid almost 50 euros per night, which I think is an excellent price.Recommended, especially for tourists."

"Great priced hotel adjacent to a large park. Only a few minutes walk from Piraeus Port Gates 7, 8 & 9 and Metro into Athens and airport. Surrounded by bars, restaurants, harbour and only 10 minute walk to beach. Room very clean, bathroom modern and decor tasteful with soft furnishings and fittings all coordinated. Air-conditioning great and mini fridge actually cold. Towels and toiletries provided too. Yes the wardrobes and furniture a bit dated but have been painted to give more contemporary feel and everything matches, even the scatter cushions and curtains. Added bonus was lovely balcony overlooking the park. The staff too - front of house, cleaners, waiting staff all smiley and helpful. Seriously, for the price including a light continental breakfast you can't go wrong. We would highly recommend for a night or 2 stay before and after island hopping. Will definitely return. Sorry forgot to take photo of room before we'd messed it up. View from 4th floor overlooking park."

Comfy beds, room is relatively small, however the most annoying thing about it is that there is no sufficient light, and the window was really small so even during the day we didn’t get much natural light, and per my understanding upon discussing this with the workers, this is the situation in most of there rooms. Location wise - it was about 5-10 minutes drive to most attractions, in the future i would probably choose a hotel in Syntagma area."
