"The hotel's location is pretty good, making it easy to get to Syntagma Square, which is a major transportation hub. It's about a ten-minute walk. The room was also spacious and had a large sofa. Breakfast was decent too. One day, I had an early tour scheduled for 7 AM, before breakfast even started. I just went down and grabbed a few pastries to eat on the go, and the staff didn't show any displeasure at all. I'm really grateful for that, it kept us from going hungry on the road!"

"Lovely smaller style hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom immaculately clean. I booked a delux double room. Pleasant roof top bar with Acropolis view, perfect for sunset cocktails. Omonia Station about 300m walk, Monastiraki and Plaka about 1km walk both great for shopping and flea markets. Train from Omonia goes to Acropolis and Monastiraki. Quiet neighbourhood, bit rough around the edges but nothing too sketchy. Would stay again."

"The room was small despite being told it was an upgrade. next to no storage in the bathroom nor bedroom. We had a balcony but no furniture at all, pointless. Poor view of a derelict building. Nothing to be able to hang wet swimsuits on. Holder for shower gel had broken and not had not been repaired, bottle was positioned on the floor! Swimming pool was heaving and very noisy. We observe groups thet were not guests.Not enough shade for 36 degree heat. Even the restaurant was noisy for dinner in the evening. Great view of acropolis spoilt by the loud music! Busy hotel, wouldn't visit in July!"

"Pros: well-maintained place, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, nice rooftop views. Cons: unfortunately, enough that I wouldn’t stay here again. - The neighborhood is not the safest area, especially at night. - The hotel has no control over the cigarette smoking. Supposedly it is a non-smoking hotel, but I constantly had the smell of cigarettes coming into my room at all hours, even after mentioning it to the front desk. Friends in other parts of the hotel and on other floors experienced this too, and we were there a week. - The amenities are closed in the off season, and this was not disclosed at booking. (Pool, jacuzzi, rooftop bar, etc.) - Unless you book a deluxe room with a view, you will be in a black box with no natural light, facing a building with broken windows. - The light design of the rooms is impractical, especially the swinging neon light in the bathroom, which blinds you and makes it impossible to look in the mirror for more than a few moments at a time. There are a million switches to turn things on and spotlight overheads that don’t provide enough light."

"Budget Stay That Does the Job Mansion Hotel in Omonia is honestly not as terrible as some people make it sound. The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the shower pressure was good. For a simple budget stay, it gives you the essentials: a place to sleep, shower, cool down, and recharge. The neighbourhood is okay. If you have lived in or visited big cities like London, San Francisco, or know areas like Skid Row, you probably will not flinch. Nobody bothered me at all, and personally, I felt safer there than in parts of London. This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are travelling on a budget and only need somewhere to sleep and shower, it does the job well. When I travel, I am usually out all day and only come back to sleep, so for that purpose, it worked perfectly. Nota bene: bring earplugs. There can be some slight noise from the street or corridor, and the walls are a bit thin. Overall, I would rate my stay 7/10. It did the job."
