"Close to the airport. The restaurant was a bit overpriced for the standard and quality, but at least the service was pleasant. I also was not pleased with leaving my documents with the receptionist overnight, as in the morning when checking out they forgot the return it back."

BBryce van de LaarThe Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted.
The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes.
We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along.
There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus).
The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet).
Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

AAlice one love ❤️A stunning new hotel with fairy-tale Arabian architecture — it truly feels like a palace. The service is exceptional: polite staff, spotless cleanliness, and housekeeping always on time.
Food: The à la carte Lebanese and Asian restaurants are incredibly delicious — and you can book them every single day. Snack bars serve generous made-to-order portions, and the Viennese café offers great coffee and desserts all day.
Beach: Beautiful soft sand with a gentle entry into the sea.
Cons: Pools aren't heated, so winter swimming is difficult. No wind protection on the beach. Not much to do with children.
Extra touch: We stayed 3 days — after checkout, they let us keep our bracelets and stay on the property until our flight.
Verdict: Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place

TTamuThe location and the beach at Sheraton Soma Bay are truly beautiful, and the welcome upon arrival was friendly and attentive. The property is well maintained, but overall it feels quite outdated and somewhat old-fashioned.
Unfortunately, we experienced several service and organizational issues during our stay. At the beach bar, we ordered a milkshake but were served a juice instead without being asked — we were later told there was an issue with the ice. Instead of informing us, the staff simply replaced the drink without consultation.
At dinner, incorrect dishes were brought to our table, and when we pointed it out, we were told the mistake was due to our ordering. One evening, a staff member pressured us to pay immediately and insisted on accompanying us to the reception to clarify the charge, even though we explained that we wanted to charge it to the room. At reception, we were told that charging to the room was perfectly fine. At check-out, we also discovered that one dinner had been charged twice. In addition, our room key stopped working several times on the day of departure — even though we had paid extra for a late check-out.
The food and beverage offering is disappointing. The selection is very limited, especially for non-all-inclusive guests, with very few healthy options. The bar menus — both at the beach bar and the main bar — are closer to snack-bar level than to a hotel of this category. All-inclusive wine is served from cartons, and plastic water bottles are placed on the dinner tables. At breakfast, fresh juices often ran out quickly and were not refilled.
The restaurant is frequently overcrowded, making it difficult to find a table. Compared to other hotels in Soma Bay, this property offers noticeably less atmosphere, entertainment, and overall quality.
In Conclusion: Beautiful location and beach, but service, organization, and overall standards unfortunately do not meet expectations for a hotel in this category. There are clearly better alternatives in Soma Bay.

TTamu泄湖景完全是來搞笑的，所謂泄湖就是個小水泡，陽臺中間還隔着一段距離和樹擋着，跟其他評論一樣，存在一定的歧視，但是大部份工作人員還是挺友善的，雖然這本來就是他們應該做的。中間想加錢升級海景，帶我們去看的也還是一個稍微大一點的水泡而已，工作人員告訴我這已經是最好的海景房了，最後並沒有升級，泳池開放時間特別晚關閉時間卻很早，如果要出海這家酒店完全沒必要，吃的甚至不如國內100塊錢人民幣的自助餐，基本都靠吃麪包吃飽的，我們拿行李小費給了一美金態度還可以，同行的另一對沒有零錢了給了10埃磅態度就很差，對於一家五星級酒店這種事不應該發生，還是建議加錢選擇更好的全包酒店，或者普通的全包，想省錢或者出海沒有時間在酒店那就市區選擇一家便宜的就好了，這邊出行也並不方便，最後，我們check out的時候工作人員態度非常好，忘記問他的名字了，當看到我們自己拿行李過來了一直在向我道歉，告訴我他們應該安排擺渡車過來接我們的，海邊和泳池邊工作人員也很好，太陽下山後我們想去游泳，海邊的工作人員告訴我太陽下山後海里很危險，並且開玩笑説會有鯊魚，泳池邊的工作人員很耐心的告訴我泳池關閉了，要消毒，會傷眼睛，總的來説，真的不值這個價

Концепция отеля очень понравилась, невысокие домики в марокканском стиле, вокруг очень красивый ландшафт (видно, что люди уделяют этому внимание), пляж достаточно большой с мягким песочком и хорошим заходом в воду. Персонал очень дружелюбный, отзывчивый. Ребята аниматоры молодцы, очень стараются развлекать гостей. 1 отель в Египете , который мне попался, где есть томатный сок)
Атмосфера релакса, особенно вечером у бассейна. Еда хорошая, но мы были не в сезон, думаю, что когда 100% заселение в ресторане и баре будут очереди, так по размерам они не оч большие. Отель к посещению рекомендовал бы на 90% людям которые хотят тихого, комфортного отдыха.
