Résidence Pierre & Vacances Premium Arc 1950 le Village

We stayed in the Prince des Cimes complex (although we had no idea that was the case beforehand). If you arrive after 6pm, then this was the reception to use for other complexes. We were happy with the staff welcome and the strangely spacious but also sometimes cramped 1 bedroom apartment. The bedroom was awkward to move around but as we were only a couple, the whole apartment was spacious enough. We had no problems with storage. The ski locker room was ideally placed but the boot pegs weren’t heated, so we took our boots back to the apartment at night. Perfectly located complex next door to the 7am opening bakery. The Supermarket was across the road. We used that a lot for meals. We liked the fake ambience of 1950 compared to the drab 2000 resort but 1950 lacked a bit of life in the evenings. The wool sock pub was always pretty busy though. I would recommend the place because the skiing is amazing for beginners, families and experts.

I recently stayed a week in Le Manoir Savoie with my daughter. We had a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment and it was perfect for us. The apartment was warm and comfortable and the right size for us, even though it is advertised for six. Even with only two our stuff spread out and it was a jigsaw cooking in the tiny kitchen. Two couples or a family would find the space challenging - nowhere even to put cases if you don't arrive by car, and nowhere to hang wet ski clothes to dry. Six people would get to know each other extremely well. I don't know if it was a mistake but P&V had left extra towels in the bathroom so we didn't go the week using the same towel. The apartment and the entire building needs a spruce up - painting, minor repairs, new carpets etc. The upholstery on one chair was splitting at a seem in our lounge room and a bedroom had a loose power point. Do not expect 5-star hotel quality of furnishing and fittings. Arc1950 is absolutely ski-in ski-out, even though some of the closest lifts didn't open to 9:15 am - not P&V's fault. The ski locker room would be crowded with nowhere to put on boots if the place was busy. Arc1950 is definitely picturesque even though the gaudy snack bar signage spoils some photos. By the end of the week the artificiality was wearing on me. We found that the menus on all the restaurants seemed pretty much the same so only ate out twice in the week. Overall I'm glad we stayed here, but partially due to Les Arcs as a resort and partially due to Arc1950 I doubt we will return.

We stayed in 604 in Auberge Jerome and we loved it. A beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need. Even in late April the snow here was fantastic. Having been to Kitzbuhel in early March where the conditions were terrible, it was great to have some good skiing. Always better to go somewhere higher now that climate change is affecting lower resorts.

We had a great stay at Pierre Vacances / Manoir de Savoir. It is a very organised and professional apartment/chalet block in a good location. The rear taxi/bus drop-off and waiting lounge is very helpful when departing. The gym and spa is a little dated but still good quality and has two saunas. The reception staff are very helpful and courteous, especially Flora who helped us overcome some problems with the wifi and a query regarding our transfer back to Bourg that required telephoning our travel agent. Our apartment was very clean and well-stocked with good quality furnishings and linen. It was also very warm. There are TWO areas for improvement. Firstly, the spa needs to be strictly adults only, as often there are many children. Two, the ski lockers are a padlock. This is fine, but a key card is just a little easier. We will be back in the future.

Reception staff very helpful, accomadation was modern and all facilities available in the room. Warm cosy and spacious, Good sized TV with some English channels. Beds were large and comfortable. Spa facilities were good but a bit small for the amout of people who wanted to use them after skiing. Ski in and out . Plenty of local bars and restaurants. Allowed late check out on final day

Just arrived home from a wonderful week staying at Pierre Vacances Les Arc 1950. We arrived early on change over day and our room was still being prepared. Axel on reception checked us in and gave us information on where to store our luggage and said he would phone us as soon as the room was ready. We went for a walk around the 1950 village and had lunch. Just as we finished lunch Axel phoned to tell us our room was ready. We had a room in the Manoir de Savoie, it was perfect. Set up for four but perfect for just the two of us. I think four would have been a squeeze. We were so impressed with the faculties on offer in the apartment. Everything you could possibly need. It was immaculately clean, warm and cosy. The village is lovely and ski in ski out. No traffic so safe for children. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and would not hesitate to book again, direct with Pierre Vacances. Well done Axel you are credit to your employers, thank you for looking after us so well!
