It was fantastic to revisit the Hilltop for the 5th time and to see that the excellent efforts from all the staff has resulted in the Hilltop maintaining its place as the Best Guesthouse in the Boossa province in my humble opinion. All green open areas were immaculately tendered by Peter with an abundance of colour and several 4 legged "Lawnmowers" (read cows) in the lower levels of the 5 acre gardens were chewing away to their hearts content. The evening meal preparation, food quality and variety was left to Ravi with fresh produce brought in on a daily basis. Very pleased go see that Ravi's chickens were supplying plenty of eggs especially if you required something other than the beautiful fresh fruits at breakfast. Ravi's evening meals can only be described as first class and the various fish, prawn and crab curries were something you could never repeat at home. I was even given some of his curry blends to take home with me. All in all it was a truly relaxing 3 weeks away from the miserable weather in Europe. The afternoon pool dip and sundowners were also looked forward to with great anticipation. I can thoroughly recommend the Hill Top if you need an exceptional place to stay away from the crowds but still within easy access of the coast and Galle.

My girlfriend and I have just spent the best 9 day holiday ever, staying at The Hilltopboosa Guesthouse. My sister first booked 42 days there with *********** and then extended for 30 days more asked us to come over to see Sri Lanka. Our time at Hilltopboosa has been amazing, the rooms are very large with big bathrooms and comfortable beds. Everything is super clean. Ravi”s cooking is just out of this world creating dishes with a local twist and all served in an outside dining area. Peter the owner arranged a tour for us at very short notice, first going by train to Haputale in the tea country, swimming at the bottom of the highest waterfall, and camping overnight in Udawalawa National park. We also managed to ride and wash an elephant at Pinnawala. After all, that spent a few restful days in the tranquility of the hilltopboosa garden amongst the coconut trees and so many other trees and spices. We will NEVER forget this holiday. From my parents ... the like it so much ;) Sri Lankan Holidy. My daughter had asked my husband and me to come to Sri Lanka from Austria and visit them. They had booked at Hilltopboosa for 42 days , through ***********. This is the most fantastic guest house I have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious, clean, well-appointed and the king-size beds are a delight. The 5-acre property on top of a hill is just a tranquil paradise in a coconut plantation. Ravi cooked us meals that were just outstanding and served in a delightful setting. Peter the owner, arranged and accompanied us on a train trip to Haputale in the tea county, swam under the highest waterfall. Camped overnight in Udawalaw national park. The camping experience we will never forget, swimming in the river and looking up at the stars. The tents were basic but clean and more than enough for a night's stay. The diner and breakfast were just amazing and all the staff so friendly. We had time to ride an elephant near Pinnawala and see all the elephants taking a bath in the river. Ravi and Peter thank you so much for the holiday of a lifetime. We will be BACK !! Barbara & Eddy

I have just spent the last 3 weeks at the Hilltop Boosa which had been recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there in 2020 before Covid. This hilltop paradise came up to all my expectations. The rooms are very large and well-appointed with comfortable king-size, beds and a large bathroom plus A/C.The whole property is very clean and kept up to a very high standard. All the food that Ravi cooked was fresh, excellent, and well-presented in the outside dining area which just added abeyance to the dining experience. Our rail trip up-country was well organized, we come back by road and stopped off at a tea factory, the highest waterfall, and a rock temple. We took quite a few day trips which had all been arranged by the staff. The owners have 2 well-trained guard dogs which did not disturb us at all. I can defiantly recommend Hilltop Boosa and will come back again in the near future.

perfect holiday in a perfect atmosphere. Rooms are large and clean, beds comfortable The meals are delicious, better than most restaurants. The owners will arrange everything you may think about and even will join on trips to advice, if wanted. Best place to relax but also explore southern Sri Lanka. But two friendly and well trained dogs walk around.

We again stayed at Hilltop Boosa after 5-years absence because of Covid etc. We found that the service and cleanliness were still of the highest standards. Ravi's fresh food cooking and presentation was again excellent. The owner's enfusiasume to entertain his guest, organize trips and look after the well-being of his guest is still as good as ever. Back after the Corona period at The Hilltop Boossa! In Sri Lanka for some meetings and trainings and during my free time relaxing time at The Hilltop, most Hotels rundown their maintenance during Corona, but I was surprised at the Hilltop everything was maintained and they even improved more, since my last visit! The food is outstanding I enjoyed the fresh breakfast and seafood dinners! Next time I want to stay longer at this paradise!
