"Checked in at 12:30am. After a long day travelling I asked the front desk if I could extend my checkout by 1 hour. I was told no and if I wanted more time I would have to pay for another full day! Room was tired, smelly and carpet worn to the threads. I have stayed here in the past several times and really enjoyed it, but either managment has changed or they have just let things slip. A real shame."

"Our first time in Blenheim and we absolutely loved our stay in the Stables at St Leonards Vineyard Cottages. Jason and Sharon were fabulous hosts. Warm, friendly and fantastic at sharing their passion and knowledge about their home town and things for us to do. There was nothing not to love about our cute cottage and my husband particularly enjoyed stoking up the pot belly stove in the evening. Feeding the deer and the chickens was a highlight as were the fresh eggs every morning as part of a lovely breakfast offering. We ate in 3 nights out of 4 as the in-cottage dining options were such a treat after a busy day. We look forward to returning with family members who are excited to visit after we shared details of our trip! Thanks Jason and Sharon."

"We stayed in a family room on the ground floor. It was clean and spacious. The hot water was plentiful, the bed was super comfy and the wifi actually worked! Yes it's an older motel with vintage vibes but that just added a bit of charm to the experience. If you want cookie-cutter generic accommodation, this is not for you. "Our chalet was comfortable, clean, a good size, although rather old fashioned decor and furniture. It had a happy, cosy feel, rather like staying at your grandparents home. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. There was a laundry room and washing line outside in the garden. The location was a short walk from the supermarket but it was too far to walk to the town centre so you ideally need a car."

"Privately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance."

"This is our favourite motel! We have been coming for three years now and we always receive a warm welcome. Our room (we always request the same one) is light and airy and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious and is well equipped for all our needs. The staff are amazing - especially Shaun, who runs the motel. We are very happy to recommend it. It is very convenient for the town and has a supermarket close by."

"We stayed in the Woolshed which was a magical experience in every way including popping out through the kitchen window every morning to enjoy breakfast in the rising sun. Sharon and Jason are the most generous of hosts not just with the accommodation offering, but with everything else including top tips on what to do locally and further afield. Breakfast ingredients are truly farm to table, eggs from their hens, honey from their bees, homemade granola (so moorish I could spoon from the jar!), yogurt and bread. We also picked fresh peaches to enjoy from the sheep paddock when we went to feed Buster the Sheep and his retired friends. Could not recommend a stop here highly enough and it is so central for exploring the famous vineyards."
