St Kildas, Blackpool Central

Located close to the sea front, close by to shops and cafes. Located up a side street, quiet.

I always aim for a balanced review, but unfortunately could not find any plus points on this hotel. It was rated 3 stars on ********** how it gets this I have no idea. I want expecting the ritz for the price, but clean rooms would be nice. Check-in was a phone call, on a bad line with someone with a very heavy accent, you get a code to get the front door key, and again for your room. Our first room hadn't been cleaned, still rubbish on the floor, and dirty bedding. We had to wait in here for 15 minutes for somone to come and sort things for us. They moved us to a "better" room, and hastily left. The room was just grubby. Windowsill covered in dirt, and burn marks from somones cigs. Sink had hairs in it. The mattress was worn out, you sank to the divan base, and one of the mismatched tea/coffee mugs was still dirty, and supplies not replenished. The TV was small, but worked. Decor was poor, paper peeling off the ceiling, and no the thermostat on the radiator that was badly in need of bleeding. There's "FREE WIFI" But no codes anywhere to be able to log onto it. All in all not impressed, and unlikely to be staying in an oyo again, however cheap they are.
