This hotel is very good for the price also very comfortable and plenty of hot water for the bath.

It certainly is a fabulous building but jaded splendour springs to mind. The window in our room was in very poor condition and a gap to outside of 4 inches long and 1 inch wide during storm Lillian this was an issue. Apparently some rooms are fitted with UPVC I reported this to duty manager Louis, I asked for another quilt, we had to ask again at bed time. We were compensated with an evening meal which was good standard. Bathroom door had swollen so it took two people to open. But bed was very comfortable and the room and linen very clean. Breakfast buffet was very nice with hot plates and good selection. The hotel is conveniently situated and very large. Would stay again and ask for a refurbished room

Very spacious room. Lovely environment and able to see the sea from many angles from the hotel.

Good location and facing the sea view. Tram stop is nearby. Paid parking is available.

It just never changes, great place , location and service. Excellent checkin and welcome. Room very good but a tad too hot! Breakfast superb as usual and cheap car parking.

Lovely stay. Check in long queues. Keys cards stopped working so had to go down to reception to reactivate them. Long walk to the town but there is a tram stop outside the hotel.

Hotel room needs a deep clean especially around the radiator and window but to be expected from somewhere with amazing history. Bar area too small for the amount of guests as nowhere to sit whilst the entertainment is on. Comfortable beds....the best. The staff are absolutely brilliant especially on reception. Breakfast was good but not £12 good as some guests didn't have manners at the buffet! Hopefully one day they'll get some investment to update without losing its unique features and maintain reasonable prices. Overall....fantastic

Large Victorian hotel with its own car park (£10 per night) . Friendly service, large clean room and a nice selection of food for breakfast. Would stay here again.

Lovely old hotel with fabulous history.. Quite simply, as detail is kinda irrelevant, when staff don't listen, berate and flag one another, there's a problem.. Asking for a table to be cleaned, as it was vacated 15 minutes earlier by diners is sub standard in 2024.. MANAGEMENT... Have a day on the floor, with your staff and sort it out. Great location and room...

Unfortunately after 3 lovely stays this one not so greroom didn't get serviced while I was at work but credit where it's due once I raised this they did come and sort it unfortunately made my tea cold while they did and could hear noise from room above aswell but as previous 3 nights were superb still recommended this hotel on the whole

Lovely hotel reasonably priced parking Nice room Victorian decor but everything you need kettle hairdryer iron etc Good breakfast Food and drinks expensive

All good , bed & room was amazing large comfy bathtub, shame the health spa & pool aren't open any more , breakfast was good nothing special & sausage tasted burnt & not fresh but plenty other choice.
