Not very many restaurants and when it says no reservations needed you still need them.Food at 2 special restaurants was good. Buffet and bar food was average. Spa services excellent.

We went on our honeymoon here January 2024. The property is clean, staff are friendly, and there were 3 different supper restaurants to choose from. The steakhouse was the best food and amazing service. The Italian place was good food and good service. The Landshark pub was mediocre food and less than ideal service. The breakfast buffet was always consistently good. The coffee shop was great. The best thing about this property is the multiple pools, and abundant pool chaise loungers with umbrellas. We never had to fight for a pool chair. The beach/ocean access was closed, but we didn’t mind because the ocean wasn’t nice enough to swim in (lots of algae this time of year). The poolside drinks were awesome. The pool area food hut had amazing tacos and ceviche. We felt very safe because there was an armed guard always patrolling the beach side of the property. Overall we loved our stay and will return in the future.

The experience was wonderful. The only downfall is due to unfortunate circumstances that isn't controlled by the resort but the environment is that you can't enjoy the beach. You can see it but can't enter. But I suggest reserving the swimup room on the 3rd floor. My husband and I enjoyed the swimup.

Just do yourself a favor and find a different resort with more food options and a beach

We were shocked to find out that there isn't a beach even though all advertisements show a beach. There is no beach!!!!!! Only garbage and horrible stench! The food was low quality. The drinks were never mixed to order with low quality ingredients. In room dining could not understand English and could never get the order correct. I will never stay here again or refer it to anyone. I really feel cheated out of my hard money spent on this vacation.

Margaritville Riviera Maya is a great place to just relax. If you are looking to be entertained by nightly extravagant shows then this may not be for you. If you want a chill a**osphere with great food, drinks, service, accommodations and views then this resort is for you!

The service was hit or miss. The food and drinks served were incredibly inconsistent. The hotel will gouge you with extreme taxi rates if you ask them to help you get a taxi to go anywhere. The gift shop and any specialty services were way overpriced. If you want any Margaritaville memorabilia, you're better off buying it at the airport. They were too focused on trying to get you to do their time share garbage rather than really capturing what Margaritaville should really be about. I fully recommend the other Margaritaville in Cancun over this place. Half the time we were ignored while sitting at a table waiting to order drinks. Landshark claimed they had to leave the doors closed due to air conditioning. So it was absolutely uncomfortable sitting in there roasting while trying to listen to music. If that was the case, they should have turned the a/c off and opened up doors to allow airflow. We were told twice while at Landshark during our stay that we could not order food anymore. And this happened to be before 10pm. Sad to say that we do not plan on returning to this hotel.
