It was a comfortable stay, with great pillow and comforter. The toilets are clean and bright, with shower gel provided, as well as towels! The breakfast was amazing. The room is spacious and the overall environment as well as the architecture of the building is unique and impressive. However, there is no power socket around the bed, only a usb might be a slight disadvantage. You have to take the bus from the train station but they do provide free Basel Transport card. I enjoyed my stay there and would come back if I'm visiting Basel again!

Nice staff and very helpful
great breakfast
I stay in big and clean 4 bed room
You will got a free transportation ticket during your stay
I stay there 2 times in a month
Just be aware if you will be late check in after 9pm, you better ask a get in code from main entry by email before your arrival

第一次嘗試住青旅還不錯。白天前台有一個小姐姐在服務，很熱情。但是晚上十點回到青旅前台已經沒有人了，打了服務電話是一個男的接的，那個人的服務態度不太好，很不耐煩，沒有丁點兒服務意識。選擇的四人全女間，挺好的，就是床頭衹有一個usb插頭，充電不是很方便。但整體來説挺乾淨的，設備也比較新。

This is the ideal hostel. Convenient location and easy to get to from Basel SBB in 20min by bus. Looks exactly like the pictures on the website, so clean and very nicely designed. The breakfast is AMAZING and I recommend borrowing the bicycle to explore Basel on wheels. Perfect stay for Art Basel. The staff are super friendly and helpful, I felt so welcome. Vibrant and respectful crowd staying there, the vibes are immaculate. HUGE thank you to Freddy who is most excellent.

I was staying in SILO - BASEL For Four Nights , though I am new to Basel .. but I liked the Hostel Facilities and Product . A special thanks to Nichole the GM and another two young Girls who is working in this hostel .. I truly appreciate their Hospitality and dedication towards their work . Hostel is very clean and tidy , just walkable distance from Train Station - even the bus stop is right at the entrance of the Hostel . I wanted to stay next time also in the Silo Basel . Thanks a lot team and Keep Rocking .

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are lovely and it comes with a buffet breakfast and a Baselcard that gives you free bus and train travel in Basel throughout your stay. Hostel staff are lovely and offer the best advice on how to make the most of your stay.

A really different quirky hostel We stayed in one of the two double rooms. Breakfast was lovely and fresh with an interesting range of chested home made bread and jam. One coffee each. Others are charged. But tea available and juice and water. Staff were really lovely. Overall a great stay. There is a walk to the nearest bus or tram. But thanks to the Basel card they are free. You can also go to the cable car half piece a great day put.

Everything was perfect since arrival with the 2 minute self-check in and during the entire stay. Dorms were clean and nice and breakfast was awesome. It was a very nice surprise to receive a free public transportation so thank you for everything!

great value for the price. the architecture is incredible, spacious and clean rooms, great breakfast included. getting to the city centre is easy with public transport. friendly and helpful staff. would stay here again when visiting Basel.

It was a great stay for a night for a solo in a dorm only for women. I like the cleanliness of the room and facilities. The room is quiet and big enough. There is for chargingThere are two towels to use. There is soap in the bathroom. The are enough showers and toilets to use in the bathroom for all the guests. The breakfast is very good. There are fruits, breads, butter, milk, etc.

The place was beyond my expectation. The hostel looks wonderful from inside with historical character. The rooms are perfectly well organized and neat. The washrooms are clean. The staff are friendly and always there to help you, the receptionist recommended nice places to visit in Basel. They also give me a bike for free to help exploring the city. Check in and out process went smoothly and professionally, you can even do it totally online. The breakfast also was fantastic. The location is a walk distance from the Dan bahnhof and you can easily pick up a tram to go to the old city center. I highly recommend this place to whoever wants to visit Basel.
