Silo Design & Boutique Hostel

The hostel is spacious and modern. Everything is exactly what it looks like in the photos. All areas were clean. The hostel itself was quiet, but I guess everything depends on who you are rooming with. The check-in and out process is smooth, making it convenient to come and go as you please. The instructions given were clear. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The options were limited. I prefer my breakfast to be full of protein to sustain me throughout the morning, but also love having something sweet for my mood and well-being. There was cheese present, which is great, but no ham/prosciutto/eggs/etc. No pastry or a dessert. There was something like Nutella (but not quite) and jams, but that's it. No pancakes/waffles/croissants. Two varieties of bread/tea/water/milk. Not sure about juice. The location is about 20-30 minutes from the center. Well-connected to public transport, though

It is a beautiful place.Dorm room and the overall place is considered quite big so it makes me feel a little bit 'cold'. Nice common area to chill during the night.

The hostel had a cool architectural design. The room and facilities like bathroom were clean. They also served nice breakfast!

the building is fascinating. The big round window allowed me to see the moon in the night.

Average, no hospitality. A very empty hostel. I saw nobody at all.

This was my second stay, one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. If you’re looking for a place to socialize this wouldn’t be it. If you’re looking for a straightforward, well designed, clean, minimalist feel I couldn’t recommend more highly. Breakfast was excellent.

It was a comfortable stay, with great pillow and comforter. The toilets are clean and bright, with shower gel provided, as well as towels! The breakfast was amazing. The room is spacious and the overall environment as well as the architecture of the building is unique and impressive. However, there is no power socket around the bed, only a usb might be a slight disadvantage. You have to take the bus from the train station but they do provide free Basel Transport card. I enjoyed my stay there and would come back if I'm visiting Basel again!

Nice staff and very helpful great breakfast I stay in big and clean 4 bed room You will got a free transportation ticket during your stay I stay there 2 times in a month Just be aware if you will be late check in after 9pm, you better ask a get in code from main entry by email before your arrival
