Gail's Guest House

Arrived on Thursday the 20th February with my Son 14 and Daughter 4 for a spur of the moment night away. Through the front door were our keys to room 6 at the top. It was lovely and clean, fresh towels waiting tv, hairdryer, iron kettle and tea, coffee ready to have. Nice location not too far away. Was quiet this time of year around the sea area, but was great fun still. Breakfast we had 3 time slots to choose from and there was a selection for fry up and there was also fruit, cereals, juices and yogurts to choose from it was lovely we were all happy with our stay and would definitely book again.

I stayed in this guest house for two nights in June and I have no complaints. Lyndon and Lucy are good hosts, with Lyndon making the best breakfast just as you want it. The property is an easy walk from Barry Island train station, and it's a great base if you wish to get to know both sides of the town (it's all walkable). I had a double room with a private bathroom; it had a flatscreen TV, plenty of tea and coffee, towels and toiletries provided, and even a fridge and ironing board in the wardrobe! Aside from a little bit of mould at the bottom of the shower, which I didn't use, the room and bathroom were both very clean. Overall, staying at Gail's Guest House was a great experience that I would recommend, especially to solo travellers like me who are looking for somewhere safe and homely.

Stayed at Gail’s Guest House with my mum for two nights. Could not fault this hotel. Owner was very kind and friendly, made us feel very welcome as soon as we checked in. Bedroom and bathroom were both clean and tidy. Cooked breakfast in the morning was also really nice. Enjoyed our stay here and would really recommended; thank you Lyndon :)

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend, it is an excellent location & only around a 10/15 minute walk to the beach. Our room was very clean and I was impressed by the size of the bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and the owner was really friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely guest house, me my husband and our daughter stayed for 1 night, the beds are really comfy and the room had everything we needed. Location is great short walk to the beach, parking was on road but we found a space easily on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was ok we would stay again

Great room , clean room, friendly staff/owners, great food. Just a wonderful experience all round. It is great to have someone nice to stay when on a weekend trip, just makes it. Parking areas explained, easy check in and out, would recommend.
