TTamuThe hotel was perfect from the friendly reception staff on arrival to the breakfast the following morning. The room was immaculate, not new and sparkly, but tastefully decorated with quality well maintained equipment, fittings and furnishings. All the basics, bed, shower, toilet and basin worked and performed superbly. Bedding, covers, sheets and pillows were pristine, crisp, and the mattress was exceedingly comfortable. Plenty of hanging space, iron and board, hairdryer and fridge. Spotlessly clean. Service for breakfast was unusually efficient for a large hotel. They knew exactly how to cope with a busy breakfast service. Buffet for drinks and cold items, service for Cooked. The full scottish breakfast kept me going all day. Will definitely return to this hotel.

TTamuCute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

CCARY2707The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there. Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food.

TTamuFriendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night. Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern. Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it. I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management. Won’t be returning or recommending.

TTamuBasic hotel but in an ideal location short walk to Sauchihall Street, great restaurants close by. Antipasti if you like Italian. Sichuan house, brilliant Chinese restaurant. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Free WiFi also a free drink from the bar. We didn't have breakfast we went out to eat but there is breakfast for an extra £12 per day if you prefer.

Oomi96Great room, very spacious and amazing view out on the river and SEC. Some basic things such as the very old AC panel and low quality bathroom door, and toilet seat were a bit surprising. Also placement of sockets is a bit of a nightmare, just to make tea you have to lift the whole tray and put the kettle next to your bed. The fridge was also not plugged in and if i wanted to use it I think i would have to pull it all the way out. Other than these small things my stay was great and I appreciate the complimentary snacks and waters.

TTamuI really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant. One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers. Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow.

SSapphirexIbis Styles Glasgow Central is a good location to stay should you intend to layover in Glasgow. It's about 10 minutes walking distance from Glasgow Central Station and within 15 minutes from fast food eateries and shopping places. Rooms are clean and basic amenities are provided for. Breakfast is good and incorporates a mix of international and English cuisines. HOWEVER, I have had a bad experience regarding a certain payment. I booked this hotel via Trip.com and have prepaid for my stay. When I checked in on 17/7, I was told by the receptionist of that day that my card details were needed. I was assured that there would be no deduction performed and that the details were only required should there be incurred damages in my room during the stay. Yet, on the same day evening, I received a notification that 143 pounds had been deducted. I questioned the receptionist of that day and was reassured, and I quote: ”There was this transaction made to confirm that your card is not a dunce and is payable.” The next day, before checking out, I reconfirmed with the receptionist of that day (18/7) if the money would be refunded to me. After checking on their end, they said that the money will be refunded. This morning (19/7), I have just received another notification that the status of the 143-pounds transaction has changed from pending to approved. I am disappointed and upset regarding this, and I would like to urge future travellers to be wary of this incident.
