"My stay with the ibis hotel was somewhat mixed with both positive and negative. On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered."

"Spotlessly clean with everything provided for a comfortable stay. A bit away from the centre which meant it was quiet but quite a walk to the centre. Would certainly stay again. Breakfast Saturday was really good, piping hot with plenty of choice. Sunday morning Breakfast was nearly cold and bacon and sausage dry and over cooked. Same time so no excuse. We did let them know at the time"

"Absolutely loved this hotel! It's located right in the heart of the city's main business district. The classic, traditional architecture gives it a wonderful sense of history and culture, yet it also has a great commercial vibe. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent amenities. It was spacious and bright, offering a good view from the window. Highly recommend!"

"This place is convenient if you're heading to Arthur's Seat, but it's a bit far from the city center. If you have a lot of luggage, I'd recommend taking a taxi (Edinburgh's streets aren't very easy to navigate!). The bathroom is shared, and while shower gel is provided, it's a bit difficult to dispense, so you might want to bring your own. The breakfast is a fantastic all-you-can-eat spread, perfect for filling up before a hike. Great experience overall!"

"I first stayed here on December 20th and was so impressed with the location, room comfort, and service that I booked a second stay for the 22nd after returning from the Isle of Skye. You can check in online in advance, and when you arrive, just enter your booking details at the lobby to get your room key. For a UK hotel, the rooms are quite spacious. It's clean, and they provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. You'll need to bring your own slippers and toothbrush. It's about a 15-minute walk from the central train station, which is very convenient. The hotel's back entrance leads directly to a pedestrian street with a supermarket, restaurants, and coffee shops. The hotel lobby has a pool table, and the lounge area is large, perfect for reading or meeting guests. The service is also excellent."
