"I am extremely disappointed and upset with my experience at this hotel. I accidentally left an envelope in my room containing £2,000 in cash. After I realized it was missing, I contacted the hotel, and I do appreciate that some of the staff tried to help me look for it. However, the envelope was never found. What makes this especially concerning is that only a few hours had passed between the time I left the room and when I reported the missing envelope. Given the circumstances, I find it very hard to believe that the envelope simply disappeared. It strongly makes me question the security and honesty of the housekeeping process at this hotel. Guests should be able to trust that if they accidentally leave something valuable behind in their room, the hotel will handle it properly and honestly. Unfortunately, this experience has made me feel the opposite. I am very disappointed, very angry, and I would not feel safe staying here again."

"When I was booking, I was not a were that the room was a shared room with bunckbed, afterwards I booked for two adults male and female and they were expected us to sleep on bunck bed. I have to pay extra £43 to change the room, unfortunately I have never in my life seeing an hotel with shared toilet and bathroom with another room. This was my experience and it is a bad one. I regretted booking such hotel. It will be better if they make it clear for innocent people like me so that they will know what they are expecting."

"Being at the edge of the Glasgow city centre, it is not a low cost stay and the breakfast is way too expensive, £16 if pre-book. One morning the boiler was down, no hot water at all. Throught out my 3 night stay, the hot water tap gave out a bit yellowish, most evident when running a bath. My wife loved the swimming pool, large and warm. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable. TV has a working HDMI port, we used our Fire TV stick to streaming video. The Wi-Fi speed was good. There is no free parking, the car park is located at the opposite of the road."

"I really couldn't fault this hotel for the price we paid. Every staff member we encountered were friendly, professional and very courteous. The food at breakfast was very good with a choice of pastries, cereals, fruit and a good selection of hot buffet including good quality bacon and sausages, scrambled egg, beans, potato scone, and mushrooms. Tea or coffee and toast is served to you at your table. The leisure facilities were a bonus with a good size pool, sauna and steam room. We didn't make use of the spa facilities but it looked like a very nice place to have a treatment. The room itself was very spacious, comfortable bed and pillows and an amazing shower. All in all we would definitely stay again and try other hotels in the Macdonald chain."

"I booked this hotel for its great location. The Buchanan Bus station is just a 3min walk away. That's where you take the bus to/from the Airport, Edinburgh and where all the tour buses depart. It's a 5min walk to the busy Buchanan pedestrian street. The room is cozy and the bed is very comfy. There are no amenities in this Holiday Inn so basically, you are just staying for the room."
