After wait a few minutes and then he got me one. he was so kind and thankful, but I couldn't tip him because i didn't have the cash. Please pass this massage on to him. Thank you very much.

TTamuPada hari kedatangan, kami diberitahu tentang pemadaman listrik terencana di semua kamar selama 4 jam selama masa menginap kami, yang mengakibatkan tidak ada penerangan, WiFi, dan TV yang berfungsi. Meskipun saya memahami bahwa masalah pemeliharaan diperlukan di semua hotel, akan lebih baik jika manajemen menawarkan kompensasi kecil seperti voucher restoran kepada tamu yang terkena dampak pemadaman ini, tetapi sayangnya tidak ada tawaran seperti itu. Hal ini sedikit merusak pengalaman yang seharusnya menjadi pengalaman yang sangat baik di hotel ini.

TTamuWe were here for a city break, the area is up and coming with plenty of building work going on but not disruptive. It's next to the smaller train station but has direct access to the airport, the main arena is nearby as well as the conference center. Hotel itself was clean and well designed, we had a small kitchenette in the room which was a bonus.

TTamuWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe.
The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort.
As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne.
When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time.
Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

TTamuKamarnya lebih kecil tapi tempat tidurnya bersih, rapi, higienis, dan tenang. Satu-satunya hal adalah tidak ada kopi dan ketel di kamar. Lobi Shadian besar dan lengkap. Namun agak sulit bagi orang tua untuk membawa barang bawaannya ke atas.

TTamuThe Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated!
The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience.

TTamuThe location of the hotel is good. Rooms were generally clean but pretty narrow when you go to the toilet. Beds were comfortable. When I asked they gave us kettle and glass. This is also a nice act!
If you check in earlier you have to pay 30 euros extra. Therefore we arrived at the hotel at 15:06, and the receptionist told that they haven’t made the room ready for third person. Our reservation did include third person from beforehand. When we entered the room, it was so hot that it was not possible to breathe normally. My guess they just forgot about us entering, even though we came beforehand to put our luggage and reminded them we would be back for 3pm.
