Manah Shanti Suites by Pramana Villas

I am going to leave a bit of a mixed review about this place. We stayed there for 6 nights. There are both good & bad things worth mentioning. The location is good. Not far from the main centre of Ubud. Has a lovely pool. Not many guests were staying at the resort when we were there. However, the spa portion of the pool does not work (only one jet works), & the place in general is pretty old. We were able to get a motorbike within 20 minutes of arriving. The staff were always very helpful & friendly. We had an upstairs room. It overlooked the rainforest, which was totally beautiful. Lush waterfall sounds, super secluded from any road noise. We were watching the squirrels eat the coconuts at the top of the trees from our balcony, so that was really special. A couple of downside points about our stay. Any time we ordered in, our food didn't arrive hot. Sometimes it was cold, sometimes lukewarm. I recommend only eating at their restaurant if you plan on eating there, don't get room service. The food was average in taste, so in my opinion, just go to one of the local restaurants instead (tablespoon is nice, it's super close). Our main gripe though was the linen, towels, mould in bathroom. It all needs replacing. Some of the pillows in our room smelt like sweat. There were stains on the bedding. The shower curtain was discusting, stained & mouldy. It's just old & needs some TLC. The towels need to be completely replaced. I included some of the pics of the shower curtain, towels, stains on bed sheets. We also had a noisy fan in our room which constantly clicked. & the furniture is old. So sitting outside on the balcony, the chairs had little support left underneath them, so you kind of sag down into the chair. Based on our stay, we would not stay there again.

The view, the pool, the services, the room, the bathtub, the tranquillity…… I fall in love with this hotel. The price is also what makes me choose this hotel. You can get such a nice hotel with cheap price! Thank you!

Beautiful property and rooms with a stunning little pool. Most important we’re the staff who were simply amazing , I would definitely choose this hotel again. Oh and when you open the patio doors there is a waterfall just to add to the experience

This resort was so relaxing, perfect retreat for couples. Short car ride to town. Room was beautiful and pool/view was breathtaking. Looking for an escape away in Ubud, I would recommend this place. Will be telling everyone! Resort also managed to help book popular restaurants in the area for us.

Manah Shanti Resort is the perfect place to visit for a peaceful Ubud countryside stay. We were very impressed with the friendly and speedy customer service from the reception desk. One call and they respond straight away. The food was delicious, and perfectly sized. The facilities were brilliant; the pool was luxurious - a few people complaining about it being a little too cold, but it's perfect temperature in the heat once you get in and you swim around. The rooms are beautiful, definitely not outdated like some very skeptical people are complaining about. The rooms are exactly like the photos, so they should have perhaps picked a different resort if they didn't check this first. The wifi was a little slow, but worked better in the pool area. Unfortunately, once we arrived at the airport we could not find our hotel driver after walking back and forth through the sea of people holding names. We made sure not to leave until we knew our names weren't there. We left with a different taxi driver and the hotel originally tried to charge us full price for the driver, which we later agreed to pay half as should not have had to pay the full price considering we could not find the driver. At least, if the driver was there, they were not standing in the pick up area or they arrived too late as we stayed for 20 minutes in the pick up (50 minutes after our plane arrived). The driver did not contact us, so we found another taxi and checked when we arrived and also did not revived any calls from the driver. Nonetheless, we sorted the bill and found it easy to get a taxi for the airport to the hotel. Besides this mishap and the wifi being a tad too slow. Our overall experience was brilliant and we would come here again. Thank you to the team who made us feel welcomed and comfortable!

Beautiful resort located just out of town, 15 minute walk to the Ubud Markets. Peaceful and great scenery for a relaxing stay. The pool area is great and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I left a valuable bracelet and money in my room and they sent a staff member on a bike to meet us 20 minutes away as it was easier than getting back by car. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would recommend to anyone to stay here again.

Okay hotel, good service. Breakfast could be improved - lack of quantity is an issue.. quality could be improved too. Simple things like providing water would help.

First night was horrible, we fought with cockroaches, we asked for changed sheet but no housekeeping.Cleanliness was bad. The curtain fell off from its rail, pillow case has hole, the towels were greyish, stain and looks unhygienic. Balcony roof was leaking during the rain, can't seat on the couch provided.

Note séjour s’est globalement bien passé mais l’établissement a beaucoup vieilli et n’a pas été assez entretenu par rapport aux photos. Le service était bien. La location de scooter facile. Mais le ménage est à revoir : la chambre était sale : tâches, poussière, linge de maison taché.
