It was my first time doing a surf camp and my first time to Bali, and I have to say I'm really happy that Wavehouse was the place I chose to have this initial experience. The dorms are amazingly spacious and modern, and the private room I later moved to was pleasant to stay in. The outdoor bar area is super nice, and has such a chill vibe to socialise with others or simply lounge around in your own company. I felt truly connected to the community of travelers I met there, which Wavehouse helped facilitate with the yoga sessions, fitness classes and social activities (on top of your surf crew of course) The people at the reception: Maudy, Maria and Valerine were always willing to help me out with any issues I had, and down for a chat anytime. The people at the bar: Ega, Era and Algo were always polite and helpful, as well as great conversationalists The surf staff consisting of Bukit, Wally, Adut, Allen and Wayan are absolutely amazing. They're such great help in the water in terms of positioning and timing on the waves, even giving you a push if it's looks like you're to slow to catch the wave. They're great fun to hang out with too. The head instructor Alex is really helpful with the surf video analysis and reading the waves. All the instructors were always willing to lend their time offering advice or coaching even outside of the official surfing lessons, and are passionate about helping you improve. I've learned a lot from everyone and would highly recommend the surf camp! The food is also really tasty with a wide variety of options, and their homemade Kombucha is really good. Compliments to their chef for creating such consistent, high quality meals! I have already booked my 2nd trip with them :)
