Every single stay of mine with the Aman hotels is wonderful and unforgettable. Amandari is no exception. I found an extraordinary sense of peace and tranquility as I sat by the hotel's pool, gazing out at the lush green trees in the distance. As always, the rooms at Aman were spacious yet cozy and elegantly refined. The staff, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire, attended to us so thoughtfully that it seemed I had nothing to worry about except savoring the serene, peaceful moments.

The 10-minute drive or ride, coupled with the provided shuttle bus, ensures easy access to all the attractions and amenities that Ubud has to offer. Warm Hospitality: The friendly and helpful staff create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive, with handwritten messages adding a personal touch to your stay. Their dedication to ensuring your comfort and satisfaction is evident throughout your experience. On-Site Amenities: The hotel boasts a range of amenities to cater to your needs, including a relaxing spa, a delectable restaurant serving delicious cuisine with vegan options, a refreshing swimming pool that is daily maintained, and a shuttle bus service for convenient transportation. Tranquil Setting: The hotel's serene environment, surrounded by lush greenery and soothing water features, provides a peaceful haven amidst the bustling town. Relax by the pool, indulge in spa treatments, or simply unwind in the tranquil ambiance of the hotel's grounds. Cons: Limited Views: While the hotel's location offers easy access to Ubud's attractions, it may not provide stunning views. Occasional Debris in the Pool: The swimming pool, while well-maintained, may occasionally experience leaves or other debris falling from the surrounding trees.

It was a great and relaxing stay here. Our room was spacious, was simple and classically decorated with the rice terrace view from the balcony. The grounds were well kept and healing to walk through. Nice view from their open air spa. Very friendly and personable service. Enjoyed the afternoon tea and a special balinese dance with dinner event one of of the evenings. Great location in the middle of restaurants and shops. Saw a couple of monkeys that minded their own business. Will be keen to check out and stay at their other newer Komaneka hotels :)

Despite a couple of hiccups, we enjoyed our stay at Komaneka. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made our holiday more memorable. This trip was to celebrate our recent engagement, and we were so happy to he greeted by this cute flower arrangement on our bed. Breakfast was adequate (loved the fruit cuts, juice and Bali coffee) but afternoon tea was so so. For more authentic local food experience, you'd want to dine outside of the resort.

My recent stay at The Pari Sudha in Ubud, Bali, was delightful overall. The hotel exudes charm and offers a truly secluded getaway. However, there are a few logistical points future visitors should know to set expectations. Accessibility Getting to the hotel can be a bit challenging. The property is not located directly on the main road, and you'll need to navigate a narrow 150ish meter alley on foot or by scooter. When we arrived at the Google Maps pin for The Pari Sudha, we found a small ”reception” desk with no staff present. After calling the hotel, they promptly sent someone to pick us up and assist with our luggage, which was greatly appreciated. However, it would have been much more convenient if this information were shared in advance to avoid confusion. The Property Once you settle in, The Pari Sudha reveals its true beauty. The design is charming and blends seamlessly with the surrounding lush greenery. The pool in front of the forest adds a serene touch, offering sightings of squirrels and other wildlife, making it a peaceful retreat. We opted for the floating breakfast, which, while pricey due to the additional charge for the basket, was a unique experience. Our room came with a private pool just a few steps away. Although small, it was beautifully designed and added to the sense of luxury. This hotel is perfect for those seeking tranquility and a break from the bustling city life. Dining Options The hotel only serves breakfast. For other meals, there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, and food delivery options are readily available in Ubud. Be prepared to venture out for lunch or dinner as needed. Nearby Attractions The property also includes a temple on the lower ground, about a 10-minute walk away. Unfortunately, it is not well-maintained, so I’d recommend skipping it to save yourself the hassle. Hospitality The staff were consistently hospitable and accommodating. Their warmth added to the overall positive experience. I hope the property continues to be well-maintained so it can retain its charm for future guests. Final Thoughts Despite the initial challenges of locating and accessing the hotel, my stay at The Pari Sudha was memorable and relaxing. For those looking to unwind amidst nature and experience a quieter side of Ubud, this hotel is an excellent choice.

The hotel manager and staff offered me attentive help during an unfortunate experience: I was robbed by a local motorcycle biker at night in the alley of the Monkey Forest (PLEASE DON'T WALK IN AT NIGHT!). However, they arranged for a staff member to drive me to the local police station to assist with translation, and the local police efficiently helped me as well. The following day, my phone was found and the thief was apprehended. I can't thank the local police and the hotel staff enough for their help Hope everyone enjoys their trip there while remaining cautious!

The highlight was undoubtedly the floating breakfast—an unforgettable and romantic touch to start our day. The villa itself was a serene paradise, offering privacy and comfort amidst the lush greenery of Ubud. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Alaya resort staff truly went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday celebration special. They helped arrange a lovely surprise with flower petal decorations, a delicious birthday cake, and a beautiful rose bouquet (available at an extra cost). The resort's location is also excellent, situated right beside fantastic cafes like Pison, where we enjoyed a discount of 10%! Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and it comes with impeccable housekeeping service twice a day. Every detail was taken care of, making our two nights stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Alaya Resort for its exceptional service and fantastic location.

Good room and service. Just shame that top floor room could hear the pool from above, but not too bad. Too bad room should have refrigerator for that price point.
