Ulasan Sultan Inn Boutique Hotel

Right in the heart of old town which makes it great to walk to many places. The hotel is older and showing its age but it’s still decent to stay in. The room had a small couch and sitting area which was nice.

The room is old and the car cannot be driven to the hotel. It takes 10 minutes to drag luggage. It is easy to break the wheels of a good suitcase. If you are a man, you can give it a try.

Great boutique hotel. This is the second time I’ve stayed there and I think that next time I come to Baku I’ll also stay here.

The hotel is located in the ancient city of Baku, parking is difficult

Amazing location in the Old City. Beautiful old building. Big, comfortable room. Reasonable rate during the Formula 1 weekend (probably because room was internal with no view). Very attentive staff, especially Zakir. Will definitely visit again.

The receptionist in this photo is very accommodating, helpful and very friendly. The room is clean and cozy. The bed is comfortable, pillows are decent. The towels, oh the towels, smells so clean and fresh 👌 Overall the stay is exceptional! Wish we could stay longer. Definitely will book another stay when we visit Baku.

We had a wonderful time in Baku, especially at Sultan Inn Hotel. We greatly appreciated the exceptional service from the entire staff, from the attentive manager to the helpful bellboy. Every aspect of our stay contributed to a memorable experience.

Thanks to the hotel for the excellent service, everything was good, clean and kind. Good location. Perfect roof top terrace, where you can enjoy city view and have nice dinner of breakfast. All sightseeing are near by, so you can easily do every thing on walk.

Be careful, they are overbooking the hotel and then cancel people confirmed reservation few days before arrival. We made a reservation for two rooms in this hotel few months before arriving and our reservation wad confirmed. It was important to us to make the reservation in advance because we were traveling in the week of Formula 1 race and we knew the city will be full. Few days before arriving we received a message from them telling us to cancel our reservation because the hotel is full. We asked Agoda to call them. They checked it for us and indeed they were asking people to cancel their reservation because the were overbooking their rooms. Because it was last minute we end up taking one room, instead of two in a different hotel, paying more for it.

Highly recommend this hotel! We had such an amazing stay, the location is perfect only a short walk from all the attractions. The hotel room is stunning, we felt like we were staying in a small palace with the exquisite decor, we even had a fireplace and seating area. The bed was super comfortable and shower was hot and powerful. Everything was so pristine and well maintained. But the best part was the breathtaking view from the terrace where breakfast is served, you can see all the wonders of Baku while tucking into a delicious feast of various meats, cheese, olives, jams, freshly baked bread and eggs of your choice. This was our 3rd trip to this fasinating city and by far the best hotel we stayed at, the staff on reception are wonderful also, so friendly and helpful and recommended some fabulous restaurants for us to try. We cant wait to come back and stay here again, just book it, you wont regret it!

Positives- -Overall, this is a stunning five star hotel in an incredible central location in Old Town. It overlooks the nearby Maidens Tower, one of the main tourist attractions of Baku. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, otherwise, this review would be 10 pages long. -The rooms are befitting of the hotels name - Sultan Inn. The ceilings are gloriously high. The window treatments are a rich brown purple with deluxe tie-backs with gold leaf wooden valences. All the doors are 9-10’ high. My room had wooden floors and also a fireplace. The bedroom area is on a slightly raised area (for a little elegance). The ceiling had neat architectural features. -The General Manager is very personable and helpful. I had visa issues getting into the country. The hotel was very patient while I worked out the situation (was in Georgia at the time). -The views from the 3rd floor Breakfast Room are stunning! Breakfast was delicious and included cooked-to-order eggs. The prepared plate of cold items was nothing less than gourmet (cheeses, both hot and cold meats, butter, candied fruits, and various spreads to accompany the big basket of fresh baked goods). -The WiFi worked good. -The water pressure was great with plenty of hot water. -There was daily maid service - a rarity in today’s post Covid world. -The hotel is in a very safe area (even to walk around late at night). -The hotel is extremely easy to find since it’s literally right next to one of the most visited and tallest sites in the Old City, Maidens Tower. After a long day of touring, getting back to your hotel is extremely important! -There are great restaurants and shops only a 2-3 minute walk away. Negatives- -Could use more electrical outlets in the room for recharging smartphones and related items. -Being an old historical building, there is no elevator. The staff graciously brings your luggage to the room for example, but the Breakfast Room is on the 3rd floor (views are stunning!) -There is no TV channel apparently in English. There may have been, but all the words on the menu were in Russian (despite the TV language set to English). I would absolutely stay here again!
