This place is very remote and high in the mountains. Peaceful and amazing views. There are excursions if you wish. The staff are so friendly and look after you very well. The food is delicious and very difficult not to eat all of it ☺️ well done chef All of the staff very knowledgeable and take the time to chat. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a couple of quiet days before moving on. Room so comfortable. Thank you

Smal and intimate place in the hill side (3 rooms that in total sleep 10 people). Off the beaten track in a beautiful surrounding. If you don´t manage to have a good night´s sleep here, you will not have one anywhere:). Excellent service. Since it is “far out” we had half board. Due to the size of the hotel, the menue has to be limited. One slightly negative comment: the local dishes are excellent, the attempts at serving western style dishes were not that successful. My advice would be to drop them and go “full local”. That would be the experience we were looking for.

The Capoe House is an amazing mountain hide-away with just 3 rooms with exceptional service. Kiyu and Buter-Chaminda and their teams took great care of us and the food was delightful! Would recommend 10/10. Thanks for this unforgettable experience!

We spent 2 nights at Capoe House, the hotel is located up in the middle of sectaculars mountains, and from the balcony of our villa we had a breathtaking view of the Haputale mountains and the tea estate. A peaceful Hotel where you can connect with the nature, a secret place to stay, so wonderful and we felt really so lucky to stay there. Everything was perfect, the delicious breakfasts and dinners, the staff very professional,friendly and constantly checking with us if everithing was all right. Very lovely person! A special thanks fro the deep of our hearts to Eranda and his team to make our stay so special and unforgettable!! Hope to came back soon, Luisa and Jose

Stunning stunning stunning! This place must be an incredibly well kept secret, we felt SO lucky to stay here. We had the whole villa to ourselves, it was like being at a beautiful home. So private, so much room, incredible decor. Eranda was our resident manager, and could not have been more kind and communicative. He was dealing with something, yet consistently checked in with us, all smiles and kindness, just a wonderful, lovely host. The butler service was amazing, and we could not have been more grateful. Best new years in Sri Lanka. You are lucky if you get to stay here, it's magical!!!

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Capoe House villa. Eranda and his team were some of the most wonderful and welcoming host we have ever had. The ambiance is amazing and food was excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the new years!

Really the place is breathtaking ,fresh air and best tranquility. Luxury accommodation and the staff is so kind such a good staff ..special thanks for madushanka ( chef 👨🏻🍳) the food was out of this world..super clean. ..10 10 highly recommend

We loved this lodge - it is in a beautiful location and the design of the communal areas and accommodation is lovely with fabulous wildlife photographs everywhere. There are only 3 rooms and so it feels very private. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drink, especially the cocktail of the day. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Two of them had previously worked in a cocktail bar in Galle Fort and so were full of recommendations for bars/ restaurants in Galle where we were heading next. We had already booked a number of excursions with our driver but the same excursions were also available to be arranged via the lodge. We did have a free afternoon and took advantage of a free guided walk with a member of staff to a local waterfall to swim. This ended up being a highlight with the added benefit of a complimentary light afternoon tea when we got back.

This boutique hotel is a lovely oasis of tranquility in the lush hills of Haputale surrounded by wildlife and rolling tea plantations. But what makes it such a charming place to relax is the extraordinary service offered by manager and naturalist Eranda and every one of his amazing team. Their quiet attentiveness and attention to detail is very special indeed and a rare find in hospitality these days. We can’t recommend this wonderful hideaway highly enough.
