Marble House

Honestly the room rate at this hotel was so reasonable I wasn't expecting much. I'm leaving this review because I was so pleasantly surprised at the service, comfort and overall a**osphere at this little hotel that I feel it deserves high praise. First of all, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The bathroom was so clean it literally sparkled. Just so much attention to detail. The mattress was really comfortable and the only time I heard any noise at all was when someone was directly outside my door. Nothing at all from the other rooms. Koukaki is a fantastic neighborhood with so many interesting cafes and shops. It is an excellent choice if you want to be within easy walking distance to the main Athens attractions while experiencing some of the local flavor that you absolutely will not find in a neighborhood like Plaka, which, while beautiful, honestly feels a little too sterile. Even though the hotel is situated in a vibrant neighborhood full of Athenians doing their thing, the quiet cul-de-sac insulates it from the bustle and it was a pleasure to sit on my balcony in the evening and enjoy the peace. The staff. From front desk to cleaning, they are so helpful and just very pleasant to be around. I felt very welcome. Manos at the front desk had so much great advice, even about rather obscure places on Crete where I'm headed next. I was allowed to store my luggage after checkout, and he waited with me to make sure my taxi arrived on time. This hotel really is just a class act all around and I would 100% stay here again if I ever make it back to Athens. 11/5 stars.

Hotel is in a cul-de-sac. Small but very beautiful property. Clean and cozy. Rooms are small but very nicely painted and upholstered. Loved it! It is very near the main road. Lobby is also very nice and beautiful.

What a gem! Fantastic, quiet location, friendly welcome, clean and simple. We had two rooms with air conditioning - the one at the front was more attractive. Food, transport etc. are all nearby and the centre was an easy walk. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy hotel located in a quiet area not far from the center and the metro station. manos and the marble house team welcomed us very well and were always ready to help us, we easily spoke English. Rooms always clean. Incredible value for money, a real pearl.

Very clean rooms and a quiet neighborhood, ideal for families. The people there were friendly and willing to help in any of our requests. Close to the metro station and many facilities. I would definitively stay there again!

Marble house was wonderful. This family owned boutique hotel is in a great location near the Acropolis. This residential neighborhood has cafes and is steps from a terrific bakery. The metro and tram line are a few blocks away making it easy to get from the airport to Marble house. I couldn’t have been happier.

Tucked away in a little side street this hotel is a great find. Quiet, comfortable and very convenient for the city. Plenty of cafes very close by for a nice breakfast or a morning coffee. The rooms are a good size. We had a balcony that was idea for sitting out on for an evening glass of wine. Very friendly staff who keep it spotless. We would certainly recommend staying here and will definitely do so again on our next Athens visit.

The marble house was amazing. It was very clean and the staff could not be better. Every day we had fresh towels, clean sheets and wash products in a very timely manner. If we ever needed more they were happy to help. Whenever we needed recommendations the front of house staff were always happy to advise us and everywhere they suggested was great. The rooms are brilliant and the AC works great. We had a balcony which was perfect for the 2 of us. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the marble house. Thank you so much for taking good care of us

The Marble House is ideal place to take a very amazing accomodation in the downtown of Athens. In a 100 meter radius you could find everíthing (small shops, grocery, pita places to eat breakfast, coffe shops. The stuff is very kind, the rooms have got balcony, wich is unique in Athens. Nice place in the nice part of Athens, we enjoyed it.
