Hotel Tamaro

We went to stay and it was amazing. I could not thank the owners and staff enough for going above and beyond and making the stay 5*. I felt at home as being Swiss myself and the room was beautiful and immaculate. With the food and the adjoining restaurant on the Lago it was perfect with all dietary needs met and no communication barrier.

Old and unrenovated hotel, with slightly unfriendly staff (at the reception). The room was nice with an enchanting view of the lake. The walls were very thin and so we heard everything from the next room. There was no mini bar in the room.

We stayed at this hotel twice this year, and had many positive experiences. Parking space just a few minute walk away, with small hotel shuttle bus. Yes, the furnishings are "older" style, but that give it STYLE. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely flowers everywhere that decorate the inside life of the hotel. Just loved the sun balcony available with lawn chairs for all guests with super view of the bay. The rooms are the back are quieter than the side or front, and our beds in the back were comfy. Side room we could hear every word that our neighbours spoke- plus point lovely balcony. - point- beds not comfortable. small - note is that the towels were a bit tattered, but perfectly clean. Reception staff always very friendly. Plus point we were able to stow our bikes in the hotel instead of having to leave on our car bike rack. Have to subtract a point for breakfast. If you don't get there before 10 then the selection diminishes- from croissants to cheese and meat and even fruit. It's self service, which is OK and acceptable. (however, we watches countless potential customers come and go on the patio, every morinig waiting to be served. The price was a bit upsy I must admit, but considerable all the extras worth it in the end.
