"The environment was nice, and the rooms were spacious enough, but being in the countryside, there were inevitably quite a few flies and insects. One of the shower handles in the bathroom was broken. The host couldn't speak English, and although very welcoming, I had to rely on my broken Portuguese and French to understand everything. Their own wine and olive oil were quite good. Overall, as a guesthouse near the Douro Valley, it basically met my needs."

"A charming, beautiful place - far away from the hectic and noise of the cities. We were received to the most friendly and carefully cared. The house has only 5 rooms, each with its own terrace and beautifully furnished with generous bathroom. The heated large infinity pool above the house in the middle of the wine mountains is spectacular! A very special experience is dinner here: there is a good selection of small things, such as a delicious cheese plate (we have hardly received in Portugal so far) or even baked bread with olive oil and almonds from their own production, a wonderful salad - and, of course, the wine that is produced here plus a glass of port wine as a present of the house as a night table. You sit on the terrace in front of the house and look across the wine mountains to the hangers on the other side of the Douro - just charming! And of course we have been very excellent sleeping and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast next morning."

"Every corner is worthy of a photograph, flower beds and vases are always arranged. Room always fragrant and clean as well as the outside environment always impeccable. Comfortable bed. Less positive aspects: The jacuzi was not working and we were not notified. Breakfast little variety, no fresh orange juice, no sweets (could have cream, corassants or some type of biscuits)"

"The hotel rooms and restaurant offer excellent views, overlooking a vineyard, and are within a few minutes' drive of nearby restaurants and supermarkets. In terms of facilities, the shared spaces are ample, and complimentary tea, biscuits, and fruit are provided. Regarding hygiene, given the mountainous location, small insects are unavoidable. As for the rooms themselves, while spacious, the amenities are basic. The addition of an electric kettle, water cups, and a clothes rack in the bathroom would be ideal."
