Pros: friendly staff, great breakfast, in room fridge and microwave Cons: bed was super hard and the pillows were terrible. I did not feel unsafe, and for the price I paid I really can’t complain. The walls are thin and there were people in and out at all hours. I could hear everyone as they walked by outside. The hotel is between a Super 8 and a Motel 6. There were quite a few homeless people hanging out nearby. In the morning when I went to get breakfast, there was a homeless woman also helping herself to food. I had no problem with her getting food, but she smelled terrible.

Property was clean and room was in good condition. The refrigerator was noisy and too cold (froze my fruit). I didn’t expect it to be motel style rooms, and there were lots of noisy neighbors two of the three nights we stayed. Teens running on the balcony shaking the room and we could hear laughter from the next room at 2am. The breakfast was decent. Housekeeping is every 3 days unless a special request is made. I would probably stay again despite the issues. The staff got me a new hairdryer when the one in my room didn’t work. They were friendly and genuinely helpful.

We found our place to stay when visiting our kids at Cal Poly Humboldt. Our 3rd time here: The staff is always friendly. The room is clean (carpets pass our white sock test), the bed and bedding are very comfortable and it is very close to the school. Also, the free breakfast is hearty and very good.

The stay was okay. Very friendly staff. The room was non-smoking; however, it reeked of cigarettes. The TV also kept glitching out and the brightness kept going up and down. The remote didn’t match the TV so I couldn’t navigate the menu to fix the issue. It was also pretty loud in the morning. Someone from Motel 6 kept whistling very loud for 2 hours straight at 6 in the morning

Very well-run, clean and pleasant. Road noise from Hwy 101. Very good got breakfast. We’d definitely stay there again.

The property was clean and quiet. The breakfast was decent. Parking was easy and convenient. In my opinion, the beds were comfortable enough as i do have a back injury and am very sensitive to how soft or tough beds are and i had no issues with it. There were plenty of towels there suitable for the amount of people staying in the room. Easy checkout and check in. Highly recommended for your stay in Arcata.

The area is full of homeless. But the staff was soo good and kind and helpful

The bed was very comfortable. The room was updated and clean, and the staff on the phone and in person were always very helpful and polite.

The room was good. The bathroom was tiny, old school with no exhaust fan. The free breakfast was good. The indoor hot tub was good.

Angie at the front desk was amazing! She just made our night and was a real person. The ladies in the morning were super friendly too so it made us feel at home. Breakfast spread was also great! Biscuits and gravy plus waffle machine! And our roku stick worked.

The room and lobby were very clean, updated and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast included everything from cold or hot cereal to waffles, eggs, and biscuts and gravy. Would definitely stay there again!

Very high marks for the front desk staff. The breakfast was far better than most "free breakfast" offerings, with many choices and surprisingly good quality. Our only issue was that our room had not been vacuumed, and the bathroom was not clean. When we reported this, it was quickly and very satisfactorily remedied.

The room was clean and check in was easy. The hotel location was convenient to the Redwoods Park.
