We stayed at the Cap Sante Inn in Anacortes at the beginning and end of a bicycle trip on the San Juan Islands. The place and the staff were great. The location is perfect as you can walk in just a few minutes to many restaurants, to a supermarket, and even to a rental car office. And, despite being near those commercial locations, the room was quiet and you are only a few hundred feet from the marina and its nice views. In fact, one evening we got takeout food at a Japanese restaurant that is only one block away and ate our dinner on some public picnic tables on the marina dock. It was really special. See photo. The room was nice, too. Two double beds, refrigerator, microwave, good hot shower, and lots of space. Mark, the manager, was even nice enough to let us bring our bicycle inside at night so we could unpack it at the beginning of the trip and repack it at the end. I truly don't understand someone gave "disappointing" reviews. Yes, the Cap Sante Inn is not a 5-star luxury resort hotel. It's a motel, but it's a really good one. It's very nice, clean, and well equipped with a super helpful staff. We've traveled all over the world. and Cap Sante Inn would be our clear first choice if we're ever in Anacortes again.
