Outstanding B&B in Amsterdam. Located at the far end of Vondelpark, it is away from the hustle of the city but only a short tram ride to all the sites. Paul and Karen were great hosts. An excellent welcome breakfast, an evening drink and a nightly dessert. Greeted in the morning by the heron and in the afternoon by the cat. Several great neighborhood places for dinner.

What an amazing place! Great location, clean and comfortable, decorated so charming and well appointed. Paul and Karen are wonderful host. The breakfast hamper was full of yummy goodies, local cheese, bread, jam and more. All the extras were amazing, with tasty treats, comfy bed, several USB ports, great views, quiet neighborhood, yet close to tram and many great restaurants. We also took a canal boat tour with Paul, and that was so fun. I highly recommend this place to stay while in Amsterdam

10 STARS! Our stay at Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam was magical! Karen and Paul were the perfect hosts – they answered our questions quickly and thoughtfully before (and during) our visit, provided outstanding recommendations for things to do, places to visit and tasty food and drinks (Restaurant Blauw for Indonesian food and Casa di David for Italian were our favorites). Their home is beautiful - spacious, welcoming, comfortable, and spotless. Special treats greeted us each day when we returned from our adventures. The breakfast that they provided one morning was extraordinary – freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious bread, cheese, tomatoes, butter, jam and pastries. The location of Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam was perfect – minutes from Vondelpark and a short walk to two trams that conveniently transported us to desired locations. Do not miss the memorable canal boat ride with Paul – it was one of the highlights of our visit to Amsterdam. We also loved the Keukenhof (a bucket list adventure that did not disappoint), long walks along the beautiful canals and in Vondelpark, biking through quaint villages and alongside a windmill in Noord, and a visit to the Rebecca bridge and romantic houseboat from Ted Lasso (ok, a bit embarrassing). Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam will always be a special memory for our family – book direct with Karen and Paul!

My kids (21 and 25) and I had the best time staying at Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam, it made our first visit to Amsterdam an amazing experience! We like to stay in areas where locals live when possible rather than being surrounded by “all tourists, all the time” and this was perfect in every way. It’s in a residential area that isn’t targeted to tourists, but we had no problems navigating local restaurants and the grocery store, while being a short tram ride from the must-see destinations. It is beautifully decorated and was absolutely spotless. Paul and Karen were amazing hosts, providing a helpful orientation upon arrival and leaving us many treats and thoughtful breakfast items. The guidebook they’ve compiled provided excellent information too. A highlight was the private canal tour with Paul, showing us the beauty of the city in a way that was much more meaningful and fascinating than if we were part of a large group hearing scripted commentary through a loudspeaker. One of my favorite things in the B&B was the kitchen. The kids and I spent much of our downtime there just hanging out there together at the kitchen table drinking tea and Espresso, visiting, and planning other parts of the trip. We picked up food at the grocery for some of our meals since it was so relaxing to be there. It just had a very comfortable and warm vibe. It’s best to book through the Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam website directly. I fully recommend this to anyone who wants an authentic and amazing home base for exploring the city.

If you are reading these reviews and trying to decide whether to book then my advice to you is to stop reading the reviews and BOOK NOW because this place is amazing. Absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed. The apartment is impeccably decorated. The hosts Paul and Karen are going to make your stay incredibly special. I won't tell you how, as that would ruin the surprise, but rest assured that they really know how to make their guests feel special. The location is fantastic, super close to Vondelpark for a beautiful walk into the museum area and to the city centre. There are shops and a supermarket and delicious bakery super close. The apartment is immaculately clean and gets cleaned every day of your stay. The beds are super comfortable. The view out the window of the canal is quintessential Amsterdam. I cannot rave enough. If the dates you want to stay are available, snap them up!!!

Beautiful place with outstanding attention to detail. Paul was very friendly and helpful and the private canal ride in his boat was great!

Great location and the place is very nice. One small thing is that the only sink is in the kitchen area so you brush your teeth and face in that area. Shower and toilet rooms are separate. I would stay again

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. We travel all over the world and stay in many high end, expensive places. The detail and the care taken by Paul and Karen was unmatched. Everything was perfect. We didn’t want to ever leave. When we left it felt like we were leaving friends.

Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam is everything we could have hoped for on our first trip to Amsterdam. The location was within convenient walking distance to shops, restaurants and transportation. The rooms were as pristine as the pictures shown on Tripadvisor. Paul and Karen were gracious hosts offering us great insite on how to navigate through the amenities and all that Amsterdam has to offer. We felt fortunate to enjoy an extended stay here when our trip was unexpectedly extended. We plan to return to Amsterdam within the next two years and will make sure to include another stay at the Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam. Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam is a tremendous value!
