Ulasan Ambleside Central

The room was clean and well presented. However, we could hear people going to the toilet and using the shower. We also had an issue with our shower as it did not get warm. We ran it for around 20 minutes, using different settings and we even googled the instructions to check and we both ended up having cold showers.

Great location comfortable room with the lily bar next door and the codes there chippy. No complaints on the room, parking is a little bit of walk maybe ten minutes and the location of the hotel can be a bit noisy in the evening, other than that I would recommend Ambleside central.

Great location, right in the centre of shops, cafes and resteraunts. Tea and coffee provided. Parking is not ideal if you have a lot of luggage, but did it appreciate it was free. Similarly, there were a few flights of stairs to go up. The electric showers, were quite noisy and you could hear when other rooms were using water. Amazing ice cream across the road at the fudge shop!

We booked the Ambleside Central on ***********, the place was nothing as it was described and nothing like the photos. We were stuck in a tiny room , no room to move, no air vents , windows locked, wire meshing on windows and patterned shaded glass, so we couldn't even look out the window. You had to put the kettle on the carpet to plug in as no socket points or table for it to sit on. The bed was so uncomfortable and the bathroom was so small with only a sink, toilet and very small shower. We will not be returning here, it felt as though we were staying in a cupboard Very foisty smell in the room too. My partners breathing was affected, due to no ventilation in the room. There appears to be some other lovely places in Ambleside to stay, so we will definitely look in to other options on our next visit. This place spoilt our weekend break, however its a lesson learnt and we certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Lovely old building, the room well kept and helpful staff however the smell of mould in the hallway had us glad to be leaving, maybe if the price reflected this as I could have stayed elsewhere for the same price. As it is it is only really for a budget 1 night stay, we didn’t want to go back there each night 🙁 and it put a bit of a downer on our trip

We just emigrated to the UK and stayed over on our way to Edinburgh. Google maps has the Ambleside central at a different location and could not locate the football field we needed to park at. The information provided by the place also did not work. Nobody knew where the Ambleside Central was. It took us an hour in the one way streets with the help of other tourists to find it. Place is hidden away and not well marked at all. I asked for 3 separate beds and got a double and single. There was another pull out bed under the double bed, when I tried to pull it out it fell apart. It had a moldy smell and there was mold behind the fireplace. I would definitely not stay there again.

Cudnt get in , every time we went out we had to call into lily's to get the young girl who was so helpful to get us into the place . If u have mobility issues fhis place is not for u . U have to park your car on a football pitch which is a good 15mins walk . Rooms are really small too . Love Ambleside but would stay here again

We stayed in room 10, it’s was very spacious and check-in was easy. We were unable to get hot water from the shower but it was a warm day so this was welcomed. would definitely stay again if we are in the area. We heard no noise during our stay as the pub next door looks like it has closed. Parking was also easy to find and the fan provided was welcomed

It was overall the very disappointing accommodation, so much so that my wife was appalled by the room that I had to book alternative room for the rest for our stay the ‘Lyndale Fuest house’ which was 100x better, roughly the same price per night but no comparison between the room, furthermore you also get a brilliant breakfast as well, better then any cafe in the district handsdown. In summary don’t waste your money on this accommodation. Avoid.

Stayed here with family. Do not stay with children on a weekend the bar next door is open until 1 am on Friday and Saturday and is very rowdy and loud even with the window shut. The family room one the bathroom is across the corridor which is very inconvenient and annoying especially in the night. Would only recommend this place for a base for one night max..

Small room and rooms lock is broken. At central but not easy to find.

The check in experience was a nightmare. The day we turned up they was putting tarmac down on the street outside the hotel causing the one-way to be closed and they did not pre-warn us of any inconveniences which it did cause. Additionally, I went in to the Lily bar as instructed for check in and mentioned parking to which the girl behind the bar said she didn’t need our car details so I presumed the parking would be self-explanatory. This was not the case so my partner had to go in to sort the parking out and the girl said that I did not mention parking at all. This all sounds so petty and stupid but all of this just gave me a general negative outlook to my experience. I have no huge complaints about the room itself or location other than noise. Also don’t go near the Lily bar expecting a nice meal. Overall would NOT return

Great location, easy check in. Parking approx 5 min walk away.

The accommodation itself is great. Unfortunately one of the hotels greatest strengths is also a major drawback, at least if you’re a family staying there. There is a very noisy (but good) bar below the hotel. So it was difficult for us and the children to sleep with the music and shouting until the early of hours of the morning.
