After finishing the meeting on the 3rd floor, I went down to the 1st floor, which led to the coffee shop on the other side. I went to the lobby and asked a waiter. The waiter said there was nothing I could do; if you come down from the 3rd floor, you can only go down to the coffee shop. I asked, "So every time I come down from the 3rd floor, I can only go to the coffee shop and then walk around to the lobby?" She said, "Yeah, there's nothing I can do." 🤷♂️ I'm really…😓"

"Wandering aimlessly during the National Day holiday, I accidentally ended up in Korla. Driven by my obsession with checking out the airport, I found a flight from Aksu back to Jian, not far away. So, I drove from Korla to Kuqa and then to Aksu. And so, by chance, I checked out the brand-new – Holiday Inn Express Aksu. The navigation seemed to place it in a commercial city. I circled around for a while before finally spotting the hotel's sign. Just park your car right downstairs; the gates open easily for entry and exit, no need to register your car brand. There's a bar downstairs, quite lively at night. The uncle at the entrance was very welcoming. By the way... When we arrived for check-in, they even guided us to the elevator and told us the front desk was on the 4th floor. Great service! The hotel only opened on September 30th. The receptionist was indeed a bit inexperienced; a handsome guy who looked like a manager had to teach us how to swipe our cards. But that didn't stop them from being incredibly enthusiastic throughout. It was definitely the best experience I've had in Xinjiang. After we got our room key, the manager came after us to guide us to the elevator and politely said a few words. We were upgraded to a larger, higher room (but the weather quality in Aksu... well...). I must say, the hotel is incredibly new overall. I looked at the floor plan... It was indeed the largest room outside the suite. There was a long bench in front of the bed, something I'd never seen in a budget hotel of this level, which immediately elevated the atmosphere. The toiletries were all made from environmentally friendly materials. The toothpaste was even Yunnan Baiyao, which was somewhat unexpected. As for the welcome fruit, there wasn't as much as in the lobby. And there were no welcome drinks either, which was a bit of a letdown. After all, fruit is incredibly cheap in Xinjiang; even a couple of apples would have looked better. Breakfast was across from the lobby, with coffee, juice, and milk all available. There were probably only three or four tables occupied the entire time. Even so... So, they still prepared 7 hot dishes + 1 fried rice, 4 kinds of fried food, and a rare vegetable salad. The noodle station had noodles, rice noodles, and wontons. I ordered a bowl of wontons, and they were quite good. As a Holiday Inn Express, the hotel has a laundry room and a gym. They're not big, but they're enough to meet your travel needs. In short, the Aksu Holiday Inn Express fills a gap in IHG's self-driving tours in southern Xinjiang. The hardware is quite impressive for this level. As for the software, given time, it would be even better if it could be improved. Everyone, long time no see! Looking forward to the next trip.
