MMtngAmaya Hills offers a picturesque panoramic view, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, adding to the relaxing ambiance and nice weather. While the check-in process can be a bit slow, the overall experience is pleasant. A great choice for a peaceful getaway.

TTamuThe owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely. Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source. The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue. Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat. The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross). The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up. The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good. Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location. Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!

TTamuRoom is spacious, have all amenities and toiletries (just missing the slippers). It have heater instead of air conditioner as there is mostly cold here. Centralized control system is a plus. Washroom is comparatively much smaller and just the basic size. Cons: The main thing was the management which was poor and mostly looked after only locals as we came to know by our driver. At check in the room key didn't worked 3 time and they have to call some technical guy to resolve the issue which was actually the issue in room door, still they gave us the same room. When we go to food court for breakfast in morning, it was only 4 set items only which also they decide they want to give or not. For every request it was a no even when we are willing to pay extra for the same. For the meal we had we asked extra sambhar they deny they can't give. We asked for sandwich or any breads which was also unavailable. But after sometime, they give sandwich to some other persons. When we confronted them, they told it is in different meal, we asked to give only sandwich they outright denied, when we said give meal they say come after 11. After complaining and telling at the reception his response was mostly defending and at last only told you can discuss with senior manager. It was our time to leave the city as per our itinerary so we left the place as it is.

MMeshulam YulzaryThe heritage Kandalama Hotel is in the heart of the Gungal near a lake. The hotel was designed with consideration and respect for the environment, the animals that live there and the nature that surrounds the hotel. The room is cozy and well-equipped and includes a balcony overlooking the jungle. The infinity pool overlooks a lake where elephants and birds stay. We received a pleasant welcome from the hotel staff. The dining room is immersed in green and the breakfast is great. We received excellent service and personal attention from the entire staff at the hotel. We arrived at the hotel without luggage and they made sure to coordinate the arrival of the luggage for us. We liked Nalinda the kind guide from the hotel who took us on a morning tour and since then we became friends. Nalinda took care of our well-being even after we left the hotel. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay. Definitely recommended for those who want to rest and relax in a dreamy place.

TTamuOur experience at the hotel was truly exceptional, especially thanks to the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. The food was very good, with very generous portions — you definitely won’t go hungry here! We also really enjoyed the various tea-related activities offered by the hotel, which added a unique and authentic touch to the experience. TCL train experience (price at 100usd person) was good.p That said, the rooms feel quite dated and could benefit from a renovation. While they were clean and comfortable, a refresh would bring the overall experience to the next level. Also, keep in mind that there is no swimming pool on-site. We’d recommend staying one or two nights — it’s enough time to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer without feeling like you’re missing out.
