The hotel is good and the location is fabulous. Maybe that makes the staff not care about customers as they know people are going to bring business to that location anyway. I think the staff needs to understand that they do not need to be so inhospitable and unwelcoming in nature. They do not even look up to you even if you are waiting there for 2-3 hours. I reached 2 hours early and opted to sit in the lobby when it was 3:05 pm I asked for the room as I checked in earlier the host said please wait there and showed me her hand briefly pointing straight. Now she is extremely busy and wants me to understand that she asked me to stand by pointing straight. Not understanding her hand gesture, I returned to sit and at 3:20 I went to her again (mind you she is very busy doesn’t even look at you even if you are waiting right in front of her). This time she said oh you did not stand so my colleague did not help you. Although was sitting just in-front of the desk. That’s when I lost it as I was hungry , tired and exhausted and said “I might faint now I cannot keep waiting for you honestly”. That’s when she handed me a key immediately. My question is, if she can give a key why so much hassle to someone who checked in 2 hours prior? What is this sadistic pleasure? Anyway guys you can go there just expect the staff to have a “I don’t care” attitude. The staff thinks that the money we spent for their room is something they are entitled for. The room was small but clean, which was my priority.

I would rate the hotel adequately nice. However, a state of readiness of the room and the room's amenities (desk and a/c or heater) are in a poor state compared to the hotel's rate of $450 a night. When I got there, a wall-mounted/foldable desk was not in state for immediate use. I had to call a maintenance to do a quick computer work. If a check-in time is 16:00, I expect furnitures to be working. Overall, the room design is cute (somewhere between boutique and small studio room without a fridge). And, it is clean. However, beddings were lesser qualities that I expected to come from a $450 a night hotel. It is comparable to the ones from Holiday inn's or average hostels. They were thin also. Definitely bring pajamas if you are sensitive to cold. A heater here makes a noticeable vibration with bothering noise. I was too tired from waking up from it. But, it is quite a bother when you are just relaxing. Other than that I really like the overall design of the room and facilities that come with the room. However, quality of amenities are not really upto the standard of the rate of the hotel. Purely it is a business trip that prioritizes convenience in terms of location. I would not mind booking this place if I were to travel alone. However, for a couple, I would not since it is quite small. Overall, single traveler would like it but for a couple may be suffocating (double room).

Location, location, location! The main attraction is a prime location, which is equivalent to Nanjing West Road on the Bund in Shanghai. The room area is large on Fifth Avenue, but it is much smaller than the storefront and the front desk, and you may even miss it if you pass by. After moving in, you can go shopping in Times Square, overlook the night view of the Empire State Building, appreciate the giant Christmas tree in Rockefeller Plaza, and eat barbecue snacks in Korean Street. It is very convenient. The bathroom uses the famous French fragrance brand Diptyque. Glass bottled water is very environmentally friendly. When you call to order water, 5 bottles will be delivered in a large paper bag.

A true old money style hotel. The front desk and concierge service level is very high. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. I communicated with the concierge and booked the JG dinner next door. It's Trump's hotel, so I took some details. The room is not large, but it fully demonstrates the ”small but complete”. The open kitchen on the right side of the door is fully equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils. In addition to espresso and American cups, coffee cups are also prepared for take-out disposable cups. The bathroom is not big either. The bathroom supplies insist on using small packages for each guest. The towels are white and soft. The hardware is indeed a bit old, but it is well maintained and very clean. The SPA is comfortable and the night bed is professionally made. Downstairs is opposite Central Park. In winter, there is not much scenery except taking a carriage to stroll around. It should be beautiful when the cherry blossoms bloom in March!

We could see the ball drop which was great, but we couldn’t see the performances from our window which was fine, we could just watch them on tv right? WRONG! Our tv was BROKEN. It took an hour and a half for them to get it fixed, (replaced) and even once they got the new one in, it took another 15 minutes to program it. We missed viewing half of the performers we wanted to watch. You would expect a $1k a night room to be pristine, but the bathtub looked like it was out of someone’s grandmas house. It was quite stained (you can tell it was the product of years and years of dirt buildup) and the shower barely worked. Overall quite disappointed. It was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in NYC and the most money I’ve ever paid. On the bright side the staff were very nice and the lobby looked expensive, but who cares if this does not translate to the actual room you’re sleeping in.

Order takeout It's also very convenient. The only downside is that there are very few people at the front desk who can speak Chinese, so communication is not convenient. It's okay here

The management of this particular Holiday Inn could do much better in providing amenities such as a CLOCK. The hotel is poorly designed and in disrepair. The counter space in my bathroom was practically non-existent. The placement of the desk and chair directly underneath the television is illogical. Although the Holiday Inn is now owned and operated by IHG, that's no excuse to denigrate the reputation of this once great hotel chain. I will be traveling to Amarillo, Texas later on this month and staying at another Holiday Inn. I dare say, that the look and feel of the facility will be a 180 degree turn from the one in Chelsea. Pretty shameful

The location is nice, close to Times Square. The hotel is clean, as other Hilton hotels. Breakfasts are good too, with very pleasant service. But there are some things that left that bitter feeling after my stay that I would like to share. 1. Destination charge. This is the second Hilton hotel in New York I have stayed at, and both charged additional USD35 for so-called destination fee per night. As the receptionist said, it’s MANDATORY. This 35 dollars are charged per day and the guest must use it the same day, they don’t even accumulate. How do you spend it? In the hotel restaurant or bar. What can you buy with it? Three bottles of drinking water, or two cans of beer…. Why am I forced to spend my money on the things that I don’t need and that are so overpriced? You already charged me for the room, and I happily paid for it. 2. The hotel page here shows a picture of “swimming”. It’s a rooftop swimming pool. I was excited to have a chance to spend some time in the pool. The reception said there was none. Please remove the picture from the page, as it is misleading. 3. There is no tea or coffee in the room. That’s the amenity available in every hotel, even the cheap ones. But when we called the service, they said: no, we don’t offer coffee or tea. But they did bring us a kettle:) I can see that it’s not listed in the available amenities here, but I didn’t even expect that. It’s such a little thing that makes your guest’s stay more comfortable. Anyways, it was quite a pleasant stay despite these unpleasant details. Thank you.

The service was good and the location was good, but the equipment was old and the sound insulation effect was not good. The sound can still be heard at 12 o'clock in the evening. My son and I had the most incredible experience! I would recommend the William Vale to all my friends and family. The balcony views at sunset in the summer are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself offers many thoughtful amenities including a welcome message with your name on the television upon arrival. I honestly only have one small complaint and that was the cleaning service. We called about having the room cleaned and actually spoke with the individual who said she would come back at the time we requested but she never returned. Other than that one little hiccup everything went smoothly from the time we pulled up to valet to unload our luggage. There is NO better hotel to stay in Williamsburg aside from the William Vale.

Pod Times Square is perfect if you are solo, great location, room was basic but clean, cleaned every day, clean towels, hairdryer and tv. My view was of the Hudson River, what's not too like. Walking tours every day if you are interested. Bar facilities, including happy 2 hours and coffee, muffins etc available for breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay here and would come back. I stayed in a Queen room which slept two which was fine for me, just be aware if you are sharing as it is small but hey how long are you in your room in NYC.

The hotel was amazing the location was also good. The only thing was I there was no room service with a 22month old rooms service is always a good shout. We required milk for the baby and the receptionist said we don’t do this service. The lifts were very tight and of course busy so with a stroller it was always a hit & miss when you can get into the lift. The cleaniness and staff were very pleasant and professional. I would recommend this hotel to other visitors and will stay here again.
