I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The first thing that caught my attention was the stunning views that the hotel offers. Whether you're enjoying a meal in the restaurant or relaxing in your room, the scenery is simply breathtaking. The location of the hotel provides a unique perspective of Cape Town, and I found myself captivated by the cityscape. The staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside are truly exceptional. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The level of service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. The staff members were not only efficient but also went out of their way to ensure that every need was met. Their genuine friendliness added a personal touch to the overall experience. One of the standout features for me was the secure parking facilities. Knowing that my vehicle was safely parked on the premises provided an added sense of comfort during my stay. Hotel location is very convenient! Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. It looked like a very new hotel. They have shuttle busses or even boat rides to VA Waterfront. Would definitely recommend.

The location is very convenient and that's probably all. We were there during the cold, windy spring period (although gusty winds are probably quite common in this region) and couldn't sleep because of the feeling of horror and fear because of the shutters knocking terribly in the wind. A horror movie, no doubt. It is necessary to replace the balcony doors, especially considering that these are huge panoramic doors with more modern ones. The cold and knocking really prevented a good night's sleep and spoiled the impression. Also, because of them there is a draft and cold. The heating did not work: we had to turn on the air conditioner to heat. The cleaning was normal. The room was tired, the furniture was stained and painted over with paint somewhere, but it was acceptable.

Staff were very friendly and the location was excellent. Waited quite a while to have the room available though. Also, the pool wasn't cleaned often enough. Other than that, great stay!

We have been staying here for several years and I have to say that sadly this hotel has lost its personal connection with guests. We didn’t feel like returning guests but more like strangers and it was purely business from the hotel. We have such wonderful memories here sadly clouded by new staff who have no idea how to connect.

Great location for the airport and the free shuttle is perfect. The hotel is very comfortable and has everything for a great overnight stay. My only gripe is the staff all.standing around in groups chatting loudly at breakfast and having to wait 20 minutes for change in the restaurant in the evening.

We stayed for 3 nights but the housekeeper didn't seem to clean the room properly. My rubbish such as used coffee cup didn't get cleared. View is terrible as well. I got the largest room but my room faced the KPMG sign. The sign is on 24/7 and we couldn't get a proper sleep.

The location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.

I'm curious why Chinese tourists don't comment on Ctrip. I stayed for four nights and would like to share with you my objective experience of staying. The room is very small. Although the family room has been upgraded, there are two small beds in each of the two separate small rooms, which basically takes up the room space. The facilities are a bit old. Although the faucet and hardware are Hansgrohe, and the toilet is also a famous brand, they are still a bit old and cannot be compared with domestic hotels of the same price. After talking about the bad points, let’s talk about the highlights: the breakfast is very good, with a variety of varieties, and the service is in place. The restaurant is on the other side of the hotel, you need to pass through the Business School of the University of Cape Town, and you can see the Victoria Pier. The location is also very convenient: it is convenient for eating, shopping, and sightseeing. It feels like it is on the edge of the business district, suitable for walking and shopping.

The location of the hotel is very good, next to the sea, there is a beach Free security at the entrance of the parking lot. There are supermarkets around. Pay attention to the business hours. When we arrived, it was Sunday and most shops were closed. The room is clean, but the washbasin is separated from the hot and cold water. I'm not used to it~ If you don't care about the money, it's better to book a balcony with a sea view The breakfast selection is also very rich. We had curry chicken that day Next to the hotel is a museum of the first Portuguese to land here There's a lighthouse a few kilometers away

Good facilities overall, the included dinner is also good. It is a bit on the expensive side, considering it's effectively ~ZAR 9000 per night for the deluxe tent. 

We love it! We will definitely come back again and recommend it to our friends. Good food, clean room, a good place to relax, and get back to nature and animals.

I had a wonderful night at the hotel. The room was great and so was the food and service. I enjoyed hanging out at the beach and watching the whales from the balcony in the morning

Celebrated my mom’s birthday. We enjoyed our stay, loved the pool and our room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast is great, wish it had pancakes or waffles for vegetarians. The hotel is located at the heart of Knysna- short stroll to the waterfront, plenty of restaurants& activities. Parking is available on site for ZAR30 p/ night and tourism levy is ZAR30 p/ night. Our check in was 30 minutes late, (14:30) bit disappointed, but we understand it was peak period. Otherwise highly recommend and will definitely return!

Perfect location at the harbor

The hotel has a beautiful large park with many flowers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very large and beautifully furnished. The breakfast is just good, unfortunately for Cappuccino and Cafe Latte you have to pay 20 zares extra.

There is an authentic Chinese restaurant next to it. Parking is very convenient and the room is okay.

upon arriving at the hotel the staff was super friendly. so helpful and polite and willing to help. the location of the hotel is a great and beautiful Franschoek. the room was okay it felt more like a Airbnb than that hotel. it was not what we expected and not for the price we paid. the room felt a little bit updated and they were some essential items missing. there was also no milk for your coffee and no coffee at all. if you want to order something you had to add an additional hundred rounds to get it delivered to your door. some of the things and the room let it felt outdated. the view of the parking lot is also not what was expected. the beautiful views were across the road in the hotel. The pictures was a bit misleading and disappointing when arriving to the room.

The hotel environment is better and quieter, but the check-in time can only be after 3 o'clock, because we arrived at 11 o'clock in the morning, and the waiter did not take the initiative to ask us to store our luggage in the hotel. Compared with the domestic service, the room is indeed a bit poor; Very small, but the bed is very comfortable. Generally speaking, this price corresponds to this room type and is not satisfied

Boschendal Estates must rank as one of THE places to stay in the Stellenbosch area. Surrounded by mountains on one side and rolling meadows on the other, the scenery is spectacular, and the location is ideal for visiting vineyards in the region. The Retreat Cottages where we stayed were charming and the staff at both the Deli and Werf restaurants were most helpful. Special mention for Marylise who went out of her way to accommodate our requirements and Peter our young hiking trail guide who persisted despite a severe allergy attack. Great breakfast at the Werf too!

An amazing little hotel just off the Main Street. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were a very good size and clean and well decorated. Breakfast was in a nice court yard and plenty of options and good serving sizes. Really impressed and would love to return one day.
