Overall, our stay at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill Hotel was okay as there were some areas that could be improved. The hotel front area had a warm and inviting ambience, which was nice. Upon arrival, we requested a top-floor room, but the staff recommended keeping our current room as it offered a better view. We appreciated their insight and decided to stay where we were. The hotel’s location was decent—about a 20–30 minute walk to the city area, making it manageable. The bedroom itself was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. However, the bathroom and toilet were quite small, which made them feel a bit cramped. Additionally, while the room was clean, the bathroom was less so. We noticed hair left behind, and there was little to no body wash gel provided. The towels were dirty upon arrival, requiring us to request new ones on the first day. One frustrating experience was with the housekeeping staff. On our second morning, we wanted to sleep in, but were interrupted twice—once at 10 AM and again at 11 AM—by a cleaner knocking to check when we would be leaving. When I confirmed that the checkout time was indeed 12 noon, I didn’t understand why they felt the need to rush us out. It felt unnecessary and a bit intrusive. Despite these issues, our stay was generally fine. If the hotel could improve housekeeping efficiency, ensure cleaner bathrooms and amenities, and provide a bit more space in the bathroom area, it would be an even better experience.

Badiliq hotel overall was very enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated lobby and friendly staff who thoroughly explained everything about the hotel and the surrounding area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. If anything was missing, we could always request it at reception (such as bathrobes, slippers, toiletries). We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) in a junior suite, which was conveniently divided into two sections. The room had a fridge, espresso machine, and kettle. Housekeeping was done daily. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Even though we stayed during the peak winter season, there was always enough space in the dining area, and the food was promptly replenished by the restaurant staff. We arrived before the official check-in time, and although no room was yet available, the receptionist kindly offered us to wait in the lounge where light snacks, juices, tea, and freshly ground coffee were provided. We could also store our luggage in the luggage room and explore the nearby attractions — the hotel is very well located with many sights within walking distance. The only downside during our stay was a temporary hot water outage for a few hours, but we were informed about it in advance. The staff were extremely polite and helpful with any requests, always accommodating. They even allowed us a late check-out, which, as we learned, is quite rare in Budapest.

I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Secara keseluruhan, hotel ini menawarkan nilai yang sangat baik untuk uang Anda. Lokasinya sangat bagus - 5 menit ke transportasi umum dan sebagian besar tempat wisata utama dapat dicapai dengan berjalan kaki. Pada saat yang sama, hotel ini terletak di jalan yang tenang dengan pemandangan perbukitan Buda. Kamar double berukuran cukup besar dan banyak yang memiliki teras ke taman atau balkon. Pasokan air panas dan pemanas ruangan sangat baik. Sarapan menawarkan pilihan hidangan panas dan dingin yang baik dan tampaknya sudah termasuk dalam harga sebagian besar pemesanan kamar. Satu-satunya saran saya untuk perbaikan adalah WiFi yang agak kurang stabil - setidaknya di lantai pertama.

Lokasinya sangat strategis, hanya 3,1 km dari bandara. Stafnya sangat ramah dan senang membantu! Sarapan prasmanan sudah termasuk semuanya, mulai dari berbagai telur dan sayuran VB hingga sereal, susu, dan susu kedelai... Hidup itu indah, orang-orangnya luar biasa, bintang-bintang bersinar?

Hotel ini memiliki semua yang kami butuhkan dan stafnya sangat ramah! Letaknya juga sangat dekat dengan stasiun metro, supermarket, dan tempat makan yang enak. Satu-satunya kekurangan adalah karpetnya sedikit bernoda (mungkin sulit untuk dibersihkan), selain itu semua fasilitas lainnya sangat bersih dan bagus. Perlu diperhatikan juga bahwa hotel ini mungkin tidak cocok untuk orang yang mudah terbangun karena suara bising dari jalan raya dan setiap jam akan terdengar suara klakson/sirene yang meraung-raung.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I am truly impressed by the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and professional, which made a great first impression. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and I really appreciated the attention to detail. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet, which allowed me to rest very well.

Great Stay in Budapest – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Budapest. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from, making it a great way to start the day. The room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The location was perfect – it took less than 10 minutes to walk to Heroes’ Square, which made exploring the city so easy. What really stood out, however, was the staff – everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a pleasant and comfortable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest!
