TTamuThe Citadines Xinghai is well situated in the Suzhou CBD just west of Jinji Lake. Our stay was brief, as we arrived on an evening flight and just had the one night. We had a small Studio Suite, which suited us perfectly for a short stay. If staying longer, I would probably suggest upgrading to a bedroom Suite. Great view of the nearby high rises from the room. The hotel is perhaps becoming a bit dated, but still very comfortable and a great location. The staff was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. A nice breakfast, as well. Would certainly recommend Citadines for business travelers.

HHarish HIThis was our first time in Suzhou and we had heard a lot about Somerset through reviews and knew we would have a great time here.
Our room was upgraded, but there was an initial challenge around an additional bed, which they got it resolved in some time.
The front desk is helpful and speaks and understands some English. We found Adrianna, another colleague of hers and Kenneth very efficient and helpful with our requests.
Coco, was very helpful at the restaurant guiding us through where to find vegetarian options during our breakfast. Rooms have the amenities you would need when you come with a family.
You can't go wrong with this one!
Overall, the kids enjoyed the stay and the location is decent.

TTamuA really nice hotel apartment and excellent for the price. The room was brilliant and the staff were really helpful. The location is quite far out but it's very close to a metro line making it easy to get around the city.
I would say the two negative things were firstly the breakfast was pretty awful. If you have the option not to pay this is what I would advise. It is however very cheap so can't complain that much.
Secondly, you need to wear a swimming hat in the pool, this is common in China and wasn't the issue. The issue was they charged a ridiculous amount to purchase the hats there.
