The villa feels old and a badly maintained. You see stains on the kitchen top and broken furniture (eg. mahjong table) in the dinning hall. This tells you how proud they are about their products. The floor feel dusty. The dinning chairs are cheap and easy to fall back on. There is no cutlery (no spoon, chopsticks, forks, scissors) provided in the kitchen and you see unkempt grasses (overgrown) in the pool area. The water from shower room seeps into the toilet room next door. Given the villa in such condition, it would be much more comfortable to stay in a hotel. The nice photos shown are not representative of its real conditions. Staff service was ok. They would offer help or attend to you quickly if you have any complaints (eg checking on water seepage in shower room). They also help to fetch breakfast and meal for you from a building that is quite far from the villa. But sometimes they maybe busy and you will have to wait for the delivery which is inconvenient. There is nothing much to eat around the area and you will have to drive out. If you stay in a month with cold weather, you won’t want to use the pool so better consider if it is worth it paying for a villa with pool is worth it since villa without pool are much cheaper.

Our family of 12 (8 adults and 4 children) from Singapore recently stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate the New Year. As our first trip to China, we were blown away by the beauty of Sanya and the hospitality of this villa. Exceptional Service & Elderly Friendly The service was immaculate from start to finish. The complimentary railway station transfer was a lifesaver. The manager, who was also our driver, was incredibly punctual and went above and beyond to assist with our heavy luggage and my grandfather’s wheelchair. A special mention to our young housekeeper; despite the language barrier, his warmth and professionalism made our check-in effortless. The villa is perfect for multi-generational families—the ground-floor bedroom was ideal for my grandfather’s accessibility. Fun for the Whole Family The basement was the highlight of our stay. Our children spent hours learning pool, while the arcade machine in the bedroom brought back great memories for the adults. Outside, the back gate leads directly to the beach. We were right next to the Crowne Plaza, where they have buckets and shovels prepared for kids to share and a kiosk selling a great variety of popsicles to enjoy by the sea. Location & Travel Tips Haitang Bay is stunning. It features the world’s largest duty-free mall and arguably the best beaches on the island. For Muslim Travelers: Halal food is more concentrated in Sanya Bay and Yalong Bay, so plan your meals accordingly if staying in Haitang Bay. Guest Discounts: Be sure to ask the staff about yacht charters! We enjoyed a great discount on a private boat trip just by staying here. Weather: For those coming from Southeast Asia, the weather here is perfect in late December—dry, sunny, and very comfortable. Helpful Notes for Future Guests Room Layout: The top-floor bedroom has a unique open-bathroom design and no wardrobe. It’s a stylish arrangement, but good to know for privacy planning. Skin Sensitivity: A few of our family members have very sensitive skin (like eczema) and reacted to the swimming pool water. This is just a note for those with similar skin types, and perhaps something the villa can look into for the future. The Beach: The waves can be quite strong and the wind can be high, so do check the tides before heading out. Conclusion Watching the 1.1 New Year fireworks and drone displays away from the usual crowds was worth every cent. Sanya is a clean, safe, friendly, and beautiful city. This villa is a hidden gem that we would recommend to anyone. We could actually see ourselves living here!

We had a fantastic stay at Grand Metropark Villa Resort Sanya, Yalong Bay. The sea-view room was stunning, clean, spacious, and very comfortable—waking up to the ocean view was truly relaxing. The resort is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and well located in Yalong Bay. Service was warm and professional throughout our stay. A special thank you for the beautiful handmade shell gift—a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Sanya. Would definitely return!

The reviews and photos on the website fully reflect the reality of the hotel. Of course, some areas could use minor cosmetic updates, but overall everything looks neat and well-maintained, and the hotel definitely offers good value for money. The pools are clean and not crowded at all. I think this is because there are many villas on the hotel grounds with private pools, so guests who want to swim often use their villa pools. As a result, the shared pools are mostly empty and very relaxing. All rooms have a nice view of the hotel grounds, and it’s quiet. The food is delicious, especially the breakfasts, and there is a wide variety of options for lunch and buffet-dinner, including excellent seafood and meat dishes. The only downside is that the hotel does not have its own beach. Guests need to go to beaches of other hotels or use the sandy areas without sun loungers. Overall, everything is fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive, the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped, and it’s perfect for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend it for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Очень хороший хозяин. Всё услуги, которые нам нужны были, были предоставлены. Несмотря на другой язык, хозяин держал с нами связь. После тайфуна хозяин оперативно пришёл, исправил то, что пострадало. Расположение отличное, 700 метров до моря. По дороге есть магазин и ресторан. Вилла в тихом, очень зеленом месте. В огороженном жилом комплексе. Бассейн был очень востребован детьми. Всегда чистый, циркуляция целый день. В жилом комплексе также есть большой бассейн с глубиной 1.5м. Бильярд и маджонг каждый день развлекали нас. Уборка каждые 2 дня, дом чистый. Замена полотенец и белья по требованию. Мы очень довольны, что поселились в этой вилле! Это был замечательный отдых!! Самый лучший хозяин!!!
