Copenhagen Downtown Hostel – Capsule Stay Review This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel in Copenhagen (£80 per night), after hearing positive feedback from friends who had travelled here. I decided to try the quiet zone option with a comfortable capsule located near the hostel facilities. Pros: • Excellent location in the heart of the city, with restaurants, bars, and cafés within walking distance. • Easy access to all main attractions. • The capsule area was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I left with mixed feelings. While the location and cleanliness met expectations, the hostel’s operation style felt more “self-service” and less attentive to guest concerns. On the first night, my sleep was disrupted by a guest in the quiet zone who was both noisy and snored loudly throughout the night. It affected everyone in the vicinity, and despite some guests (myself included) gently knocking to try and reduce the disturbance, it continued until morning. On the second night, the same issue occurred, but it was made worse by a sudden emergency alarm at around 4:45 AM, requiring all guests to evacuate and wait outside for inspection before returning to bed. Understandably, safety comes first, but the timing and the combination of disturbances made it impossible to rest. When I tried to contact staff in the middle of the night, there was no one available, so I had to raise the issue through Trip.com. Although staff later offered some coins as a goodwill gesture, it did not feel proportionate to the £80 per night rate... especially when nearby private rooms can be found for much less. Sadly, what I hoped would be a unique and comfortable stay turned into a frustrating experience. I will not be returning, and I would advise light sleepers to consider alternatives.

Dari segi lokasi, hotel ini memiliki segalanya karena sangat dekat dan dapat dicapai dengan berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Kereta Api Pusat Kopenhagen. Lokasinya juga dekat dengan Fisketorvet Copenhagen Mall dan toko-toko, halte, serta tempat-tempat menarik lainnya seperti Tivoli Gardens. Hotel ini sendiri terlihat elegan secara struktural dari luar dan dalam. Staf hotel ramah dan membantu. Saya rasa kamar-kamar mereka berkonsep minimalis, di mana mereka berusaha untuk mengurangi ruang, meskipun hal itu bukan masalah bagi pelancong solo seperti saya. Desain interior, bukan hanya kamar, tetapi juga area lain seperti lobi dan ruang makan, terasa menyegarkan, cerdas, dan menenangkan. Saya hanya berharap mereka dapat menambahkan lebih banyak pilihan lain untuk sarapan mereka, seperti sup panas atau sup mi panas, atau yang serupa. Selain itu, Anda perlu membayar jika ingin air panas, padahal seharusnya air merupakan komoditas yang mudah diakses dan gratis bagi tamu yang sudah menggunakan layanan mereka dan memesan kamar. Selain itu, menurut saya penawaran laundry mereka agak mahal karena dihitung per unit untuk berbagai jenis pakaian. Mungkin per kilo pakaian kolektif untuk laundry akan menjadi pilihan yang lebih ramah bagi tamu dan wisatawan, sehingga semua orang senang. 😁😇 Secara keseluruhan, WakeUp Copenhagen Hotel masih menjadi pilihan hotel yang wajib dipesan jika Anda kebetulan berkunjung ke Kopenhagen. The room was kinda dirty. We had to move to put the beds together. So, we saw that every corner had kind of trash and stuff left by previous guests. The wifi was horrible in our room. If we didn’t have e-sims, that would cause us problem. Other than that, we just needed a place to sleep. Breakfast was alright. If you are looking for a place to sleep, that is reasonable.

Locations was very good, surrounded by a lot of restaurants and near to the main attractions such as Nyhavn, Marble Church, Rosenborg castle, Rundetaarn and Stroget, which is possible to go by foot. Staff was very friendly, specially the girl at the reception that made my check in. Room was clean and is not so big but the space is ok for a short stay. Highly recommend.

Kurang dari 1 menit dari stasiun pusat dan sangat dekat dengan stasiun kereta bawah tanah, jadi sangat nyaman. Ada wastafel di kamar tempat Anda bisa menyikat gigi. Toilet dan kamar mandi digunakan bersama tetapi bersih. Anda bisa mendapatkan air panas dari mesin di sebelah resepsionis.
